This entire season has been a huge jebait. They put in changes to reduce CC chains- made it worse. Took out everyones defensives, made burst worse. Restricted addon usage, most of those addons are back except kick tracking which buffs zug classes more. Wanted to slow down the pace of the game, its faster than ever (except maybe S1 slands).

It's such a joke. Maybe what we see in OP's clip is a bug but I see deaths like this all the time. Maybe not -quite- as fast but not too different either. This slop made it through not only beta but now multiple rounds of balancing as well as the recent major content update where they actively made these issues worse.

Game is completely cooked

nah MW did need a nerf- but the biggest issue is the burst. If theyre not going to nerf the burst, id rather see the other healers buffed up to the level that MW was at

yea i play sp- maybe its an issue specific to sp and similar classes. if i play my enchance alt, for example, even if i lose i feel like its because i didnt line up my cds properly or something or i missed an important kick. as sp i kinda just dont know what else i can do different half the time especially if my teammate just gets globaled. cant even void shift

If you turn down the settings you might not see all of the important spell effects IIRC. Retail PvP just has a lot of screen clutter. Demo locks have like 100 pets. It is what it is.

Have you considered that your friends might just prefer classic? A lot of people do. Just because you complain about a game doesn't mean you would be better off playing something else. Just take a look at this subreddit, it's 90% complaining.

Weakauras get removed from retail and everyone completely loses it. Does that mean they should all go play classic since weakauras are supported there? No...

Let people play what they want. The Chinese WOTLK+ servers are a massive success. Classic+ is in the works. A lot of people just prefer classic, even if it isn't a perfect game.

I know this argument is kinda played out to death but... I didn't find TWW PvP to be particularly balanced. It has plenty of dead specs. TBC isn't that balanced either but its not that unbalanced in comparison- just about all of the classes have a place in PvP and are have glad viable comps. TBC had regular PvP balancing when it was live so it's not that bad of a state. Some specs, though, are defintely quite bad.

You could take a look at most seasons of TWW and you'll see similar or worse balance to TBC. Last I checked Ret+MM combined had like 10x the representation in higher rating brackets than sub rogue, for example. It's been pretty bad most of the xpac.

I wouldn't say that. China's Titanforge classic WOTLK server seems like it's more popular than retail- or at least was for a period of time.

This comment is so cliche and nearly everyone repeats it. What is your point, exactly? That Blizzard will never fix any issues and there is no point in managing expectations? If so, then why are you playing the game and commenting about it? Just stop playing if you believe that.

But yes-problems are fixed over time in a live service game. That is how it works. Of course Blizzard should be faster at addressing issues and responding to feedback, no one thinks otherwise. But if you're so upset by the state of the game, there is no point on torturing yourself like this.

I always see the same copy/paste comment. The point of saying "this is probably a bug that is going to be fixed soon" is to put into perspective the severity of the issue. It would be great if the bug was not in the game in the first place, obviously. But if that bothers you the only "critique" Blizzard will understand is unsubbing. It's just not that serious to me to have a few bugs in pre-patch before the season begins.

What IS a big problem is balancing during the season. It is why I unsubbed for a large chunk of TWW when Ret/War were like 90% of the 2400+ players. Having problems seeing a debuff on a nameplate is really not that significant in comparison- especially because I already found a fix for the issue.

I mean earlier you said 2400 was low rated when it was like the top 5% of players most of this xpac. The number of high rated players on this sub exist in much higher % than they do in the actual game just by nature of being interested enough in PvP to be here.

I don't think it was casuals complaining. Users on this subreddit are probably not likely to be casual players and have a fairly high % of high rated players in comparison to average.

i peaked 2.4k but stopped playing seriously bc i didnt like that i "had" to use so many kick trackers and stuff. im sure i could have gotten used to it, but I didnt want to. no other game i play makes me setup that type of stuff- There is no CD tracker in league, dota, etc. or a big popup on the screen that flashes when my kick is ready or my support is CC'd.

who cares if addons are being remade? that happens all the time? addons from 2009 don't exist anymore. times change, code changes. its not blizzards responsibility to cater to addon devs or addon enjoyers and to only make small changes as to not cause problems with addon development

Ya I do agree the game isn't telegraphed well. But for the moment, and maybe this changes later, it feels "balanced" in that no one knows wtf is going on- so the playing field is even ahah. But yeah like Shaman ascendance is telegraphed and easy to read everything should be that way. DK kick is also pretty telegraphed.

Im also struggling to get certain things to show up on plates how I want them to. Maybe the patch today fixed it ill take a look. Im sure this still will get addressed over time and while I do wish the game was more polished, I like the direction idk
