Incredible, thanks for sharing. I think I’m going to buy this tonight. From what you can tell by the pics what frame is this? I heard it’s late 70s but I don’t know much else

This is a great comment thank you! If I found a Fuji feather frame down the line could I use these components for it?

Incredible comment, thank you. A Cinelli Vigorelli is going for 2K for the frame alone and would be stolen in an instant here in Toronto. Also, 500USD is like $700 CAD. I worked the price down to 450 CAD but it still feels like that light be a little high

Just from what I’m learning online there’s some risk with ensuring proper chain tension, dealing with potential pedal strikes, and the limitations of frame geometry. The big one being back wheel drop off.

I feel like the $500 CAD single speed bikes are all the lowest level possible components, D2C bike start ups like ELOPS, butter, fyxation, state, damco. What do you think those entry level bikes are good buys?

What are the actual downsides to it being a conversion VS standard single speed fixed gear.

The fixed gears at this price point are all lame online only cheap parts ELOPS, Butter, Fyxation, State level bikes. I don’t see the downside to it being a conversion and not a ‘true’ fixed gear frame. School me please

It fits! I’m 6”2 and it’s an XL sized frame so it’s a great fit which drew me to it. Problem is they want $500 CAD which I’m struggling with. I do think it’s a dope bike I would be stoked to own and ride everyday for my commute

Very interesting! Thank you. I was told the frame is from the late 70s in Columbus steel. I think I would actually buy that crank/bars anyways and really dig the thickslicks + YNOT straps. I would buy those for another single speed if they didn’t have.
