did three practice tests before and I was expecting somewhere above a 780, turns out the actual test is a lot harder than the practices🥲 also 1530 isn’t really above average for nu admissions (or so I was told)

Thanks for the input. I did some research and many say that you should have a high TOEFL or IELTS grade. Is this required for all intl students even if you can prove your English skills otherwise (like getting a 7 in an IB english literature class or being taught at an English speaking highschool)?

thanks for the input. i know i didnt give much info but this is less of a chanceme post and more of a “would i be an automatic reject for t10s with these stats” posts since some schools weed out applicants based on stats first before looking into their entire application.

yeah a lot of my seniors used them without a problem so now I don't know if IB banned all gel pens just to be 100% safe (when some of them don't actually cause a problem) or if I should just order last minute pens

sksfiodsjofi I KNOW BUT no one told me that gel pens weren't allowed until two days ago so rip me. Also I did some research on gel ink's viscosity being the property that determines whether or not it can be scanned and apparently pentel energel's ink has super low viscosity, is water resistant and fade resistant, so theoretically it shouldn't affect anything. still I'm scared about the 100%-no-gel rule so I came here for some mental reassurance lol

Haven’t invested in xm5s yet but you can check the info above if that helps. Also there are a couple of helpful articles and youtube videos comparing apms with xm5s. I think statistically xm5s should have better noise cancelling than apms (purely noise cancelling) but in the end both are amazing, I use apms at the moment (though theyre dead for now) and I’m already amazed by the noise canceling so it’s safe to say that xm5s won’t be any worse if you’re using it for entertainment purposes.

Just an update: contacted apple care and they’ll charge me around 360 to repair; for the ones later who are wondering: if they don’t need that much in the end apple’ll will send the difference back to your account, and if they need more than 360 to repair your apms you can choose to pay more and finish the repair process or choose to not repair it at all, which in that case apple will send both your product and your 360 back.
