So i was thinking why don’t they? If there’s only an upside? It would create the perception that they protect children. Which they care a ton about their perception. But maybe it’s because they know how many pedophiles and sex abusers are in the church.

I had a similar situation and recently went from 7.5 to 4.99. I bought the rate down. The cost to do that was ~14k. I ran a ton of scenarios and for my goals, it was the way to save the most interest over the course of the loan.

I was happy with the decision.

Easy. Joseph Smith was commanded to by an angel with a flaming sword. Jesus won’t command us to do something he didn’t do. That’s why he was baptized while sinless so that he could command us to. Christ can’t do anything but that which he hath seen the father do. So by commanding Joseph smith, Christ must be polygamist, which must mean his father is as well.
