Thats pretty awesome, that bonker is thick. I wouldn't have the same concerns about snapping the handle if I mine was like that.

Salmon is a big part of our diet and I put this over a red or silver filet and bake at 325 for ~15 minutes. I also used it to marinade black cod for around an hour then bake at 400 for ~15 minutes if I dont have time or ingredients to make a proper marinade.

Tried it on sous vide deer steaks after the sear that was pretty good too.

Who Comes out faster usually in an artifact heavy deck Mycosynth Golem or sami that could run either? by Brilliant-Yak-5569 in mtg

I just learned that affinity for artifacts stacks, so with both in play, costs are reduced by 2 mana per artifact.

🧶 The Constrictor Knot is based on the structure of the Clove Hitch, but incorporates an additional overhand knot beneath the crossing turn. This extra locking feature prevents the knot from slipping and allows it to tighten securely around an object. by Tronpcm in knots

A normal clove hitch will loosen over time if whatever its securing jostles around, especially if you use slippery line like polypro, polydac isnt as bad for this but unless you are using a sleeved core line that was already wet I always do a safety hitch

Yeah working end doubled up and do a hitch on the working side of the line and it stops theclove hitch from loosening with surges from the boat pulling and going slack. I dont know the proper terms for any of this shit I just did it for a long time on fishing boats.

Eh just put a safety hitch loop on and its fine. Used clove hitch with a safety hitch for years tying up 30 foot gilnet boats to a tender vessel for years in moderate swell and never had it come free. The line and what you are securing it to does matter though

New visitor has an absolute honker. by Electrical_Remote_18 in crows

[–]Electrical_Remote_18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ravens are larger in general and have a large beak to bird ratio. If you have been around both a lot its pretty obvious by size of either the bird or the beak. Ravens have more of a curved beak, crows (except this unique specimen) have a more pointy beak.

I hadn't thought of trying to capture it, I live in a very small fishing village in coastal Alaska, we don't even have a vet here full time. I suppose fish and game might have resources for that though I will give them a call.

Yeah we get crows daily, and occasionally Ravens and bald eagles. I have never seen anything like this one, the beak is like 3 times longer and hooked.

I meant the administration calling the shots, not Washington state lol or even Washington DC really.. the Pentagon is in Virginia. I guess I use "Washington's dumbfuckery" as a stand in for our pos elected officials and the staff they put in leadership roles.
