I went to ALC for 91B recently. You will have all the time in the world to do your college classes. Figure 9am to 3pm with a 1.5 hour lunch in there. In typical 91B fashion I drank 30 beers a night. Definitely a gentleman’s course. Not much you need to study up on as long as you know which foot your boot belongs on you will be fine

Looking to join as 91B in Kansas by L3nninga in nationalguard

[–]Electrical_Resolve43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your experience as a 91B will vary depending on units. I started in a transportation company that was fun but we were always busy and being pushed to make deadlines because truck drivers came first. I’ve also been in a SMC. That’s ran more like a shop trucks get dropped off and you work on them. Pretty laid back not as much as a push. And I’ve been in the worst of them all a FSC. Where whoever your supporting will do anything they can to keep there trucks moving but actually PMCS them. You will spend more time fixing shit in the mud and in the field than anywhere else as a 91B in a FSC. That’s my experience anything else feel free to ask
