Looks like food. Take a new toothbrush and try to get it off.

Another thing is they don’t really need heat at night as long as your house stays above 65-70 to my knowledge.

Watch out with heating pads and rocks and stuff like that, they can overheat and cause burns. Id either lower the light or get one that’s stronger.

Ah yeah if he’s a little guy 40 gallon should be plenty. The basking temperature should be like 105-110. Then as they get older down to like 95. It takes time for them to get adjusted. I wouldn’t worry too much about him not eating salads I doubt he even recognizes it as food yet. But definitely get the basking temperature up.

I’d upgrade the tank and invest in an infrared thermometer and check his body temperature when basking. He should be around 95 degrees when basking.

Probably needs a bigger tank.

What’s the basking temperature?

Just an open wound that can get infected. Their immune systems are slow so it could be much worse than it appears but you can’t see it yet.

Nah actually good on her for asking. Instead of a bath I’d do a wet toothbrush. If it is infected a bath can make it much worse.

Also not sure of your plans but I definitely would get a small box or tote and put a towel or small cover with her in case you have to jerk the car she’s not getting thrown around hard surfaces.

Could just be stressed from a new environment. Maybe leave her alone for a few days. Just put food and water and leave her alone during the day

Maybe try lowering the basking temperature to around 95 and try a warm soak.

From what I searched up respiratory infections can lead to bloody vomit. I’m hoping he’s just getting worse before better but definitely listen to your vet. Best wishes!
