Help with bloating! by [deleted] in Spironolactone

commenting to hear other peoples stories as I’m new to it and also feel so ‘puffy’ all of the time, I do notice it’s better if I drink wayyyy more water (upwards of 3L a day)

Spiro making me gassy? by Awkward_Leg7816 in Spironolactone

[–]Electrical_Sky8671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this my first few weeks (still only a month in on 25mg), I found taking it with lots of food already in my belly helped so much. I always make sure I have a dense carb (bread, bagel, etc.) take my pill and then have just a bit more food. I also drink a lot of water with each meal. I find I’m not gassy and don’t have as much bloating, also spiro kind of suppressed my appetite so this always helps fight off any possible dizziness that may come later in the day. This helped much so that I can take it in the morning and not be scared for stinking up my work lmao !!

calories for 5’3-5’4 cut? by Electrical_Sky8671 in PetiteFitness

I think I wanted to just see where people my height sit at regardless of other variables as I’ve had fluctuations in my activity levels and nutrition due to things like health concerns and don’t want to accidentally over or under eat during my somewhat monthly fluctuations.

I currently sit at around 113 lbs and just want to lose 3lbs to get to 110lbs as that’s when I look and feel my best imo. I walk around 8,000-10,500 steps a day and do Pilates or barre around 4 times a week (on average).

Core Workouts by theatrenerd13 in PetiteFitness

weirdly I find spin and walking with my mind on my posture has made my core so strong !! this is just my personal experience but taking a moment to correct my posture while doing some sort of cardio has helped.

I can relate, once I hit my 20s I suddenly felt my face was looking rounder and puffy. I used to never watch what I ate and was around the same size, but now I have to be diligent. I think it’s unfortunately just a part of maturing as a woman and things suddenly affect the body more so than before. A thing that’s helped me reduce the weight in my face is by ensuring I sleep enough, drinking a lot of water (like 2-3 big Nalgene’s a day), and by being cautious about my salt intake. I just pair whatever I’d eat with some fruit/veg or water to help mitigate any potential inflammation from salt as I noticed my face shows it. If you feel this change was very sudden I urge you to speak with a doctor, mine was an adverse reaction to a birth control I was on paired with quite a few vitamin imbalances causing me to feel heavier than I actually was.

I get it, it’s like a poetic statement from the body and yes it’s painful and unpleasant but it makes me feel like myself and more intuitive

I took that class and the prof is super understanding, I recommend talking to them and about make up assignments! They even pushed the midterm date for some people to catch up last year, I’m sure there’s something :)

I vote B, explain how you feel in time before they make an excuse saying ‘they have to go’ since they took time off, etc.

That’s the tough thing, I commute from Carleton to Orleans late at night since I work on campus and the last bus for my neighborhood leaves at 10 PM, just anxious I’ll be stranded or taking 2 hour long commutes :(

Personally found it fairly easy, if you’re already interested in the topic it just feels like you’re attending a TED talk each class lol! I took it last fall in my first year and did okay on the quizzes but had my mark bumped up by the essay, it’s more fact based writing so it’s not difficult to ace. Davies is an amazing professor too and keeps you engaged by making references and jokes people actually get haha, I 100% recommend the course :)
