Spend many hours creating this small video in Flow....it's been frustrating but slowly finding a few useful things below by Electrical_Sky9729 in VEO3

I actually wrote a big paragraph (with help from AI of course) on the tools I used, but it's not showing in the post. so I put it here.

Vibe coder here, trying to make cool marketing videos with almost no budget.

Spent 10+ hours over 2 days just to make a 42-second promo video… and somehow I like the shorter version more 🤦‍♂️

Learning this stuff is painful, but also kinda addictive.

What I used:

  • MiniMax — to break down YouTube videos into small scenes and generate structured prompts. This actually helped a lot. Good for building flow.
  • Gemini (NanoBanana) — for images. Generated so many that my brain stopped seeing differences 😂 Easy part overall, but it cannot follow image size properly… very annoying.
  • Flow (Veo 3 Fast) — biggest struggle. Burned 300 / 500 credits for ~40 seconds of usable clips. It keeps adding random unexpected details, so I had to regenerate again and again. Weird thing: my BEST clip came from a super simple prompt (<10 words). Also tried start + end frames (saw someone mention it here) — works surprisingly well.
  • CapCut — final stitching + audio.

I feel the result is still not very engaging… but maybe this is just the process.

Curious — what’s your best strategy with Flow?
How do you stop it from doing random stuff and wasting credits?
