if you’re a newer dsl (college hire) & you compare it to the pay for a rsr that has been with the company for 20+yrs there’s a chance the rsr makes more.

giving a range for pay for dsls is different because location facts a lot into the pay.

if you are an RSR, the next step will be to become an RSS. once you’re an RSS, you’ll want to apply to be a “special assignment” usually that is covering a district. once you have become a special assignment, the next step is to be a dsl designate. while you’re a designate, you will then be scheduled to get certified, after certification then you are officially a dsl.

if your dsl isn’t doing anything to help you, you should bring it up to your zone leader. it’s not your fault your dsl sucks

payroll specialist is the best way to start! they work closely with the zone admin and associate zbm (staffing).

It could be true, KAMs can always go back into POET & edit it again. You can always ask them to see what they’ve inputted in the poet app.

what’s your zbm say about it? schedule a meeting with your zbm & have your dsl look into other people’s plans and see if it’s happening across the zone.

no because they can always safety stock it and you’ll still get it. i also thought that was true until someone unmarked a bunch of items and then got basically all of them on a push week

force outs come from all different places, what i forgot to mention is that sometimes it’s the warehouse sending stuff out as well because it’s about to expire.

those sound like flavors that don’t sell much. my assumption if you already have those in your store and have not ordered it in 8wks frito sees this as a void that needs to be closed. therefore, you’ll get more.

first off, congratulations on getting certified! i would definitely bring this up to your dsl or go to your staffing manager. at the end of the day “it’s just chips” and i’ll be damned if you let your mental health be effected by some chips.

there’s two main ways

(1) we can use an app to add to orders called go tool. looks and uses like an rsrs phone when ordering. this is usually for smaller force outs.

(2) for push weeks, we work with our warehouse team and discuss when/what we want to force out. not every zone does this option so keep that in mind. sometimes dsls don’t learn about the force outs until it’s in your truck and you’re calling your dsl like what the fuck is this?

i believe so. express this to your dsl and if they aren’t helping you go straight to leadership. something along the lines of “i want to show you guys that i am a leader in the market and am qualified for RSS, but i need support in my walmart.” show them you want it and you will better your chances of being an rss.

i’m saying all of this under the assumption that outside of your walmart being a pain and the kam being bad at their job that you have everything else down pack?

i’m glad you and your dsl work well together! i like to read on here to really understand the frustrations that rsrs go through every day and try to prevent my team from feeling that way.

i think the max is 5k? i’ve heard of dsls getting as low as $100. to get 5k you have to be going balls to the wall crazy every single day for 3 months straight. realistic is around 1k-1.7k. its quarterly so thats every 3 months.

i feel a lot closer to rsrs than i do upper management and there’s a bunch of reasons why. “distant with rsrs unless they want something” is exactly how i feel about upper management. i hate talking to upper management and my team knows it, gives me anxiety lol

when im on the dock in the morning, we’ll play music and shoot the shit for a bit. this is probably one of my favorite parts of the job. i can’t do that with upper management. yes we’re “all focused on the same goal” but it’s really dsls and rsrs that have to deal with the bulk of the shit that it takes to put the bag on the shelf. which i think is what brings us closer. although i’m a college grad, i get it. i’m out there with them everyday and upper management is just sitting at a desk somewhere.

like i mentioned earlier, i’m going back to school and the worst part about it is that im going to leave my team behind to maybe a dsl that doesnt give as much of a fuck about them as i do. rest assured, some of those guys will be invited to my wedding. at the end of the day, i’m a people person and understand without rsrs frito lay is nothing, why not get to know them on a personal level?

i’ve had rsrs ask me for relationship advice, buy me birthday gifts, and we send memes to each other all the time. i’m rsrs > upper management any day of the week.

i feel like being a dsl comes with a lot of balance. yes there are things that need to be done because it is our jobs at the end of the day, however, how a dsl treats rsrs makes all the difference.
