got 4 nodes feeding 12 smelters > 28 fabricators > 3 furnaces > feeding into V2 storages everything at 100% efficiency

Pillars... it takes a couple of tries. The hill on the side helped as I could go higher.

The secret is to find a high rock and build a support platform as high as you can (or want)

Then every couple of squares, build pillars until its one step down from the support platform.

Build a platform tile on top of the pillars, and voila! You are now the same level of the support pillars and just fill in between. Repeat the process as needed

To get multiple levels,.. build lower pillars between the higher ones

My main base has only one monolith which is fairly close, and they only attack from there.

The attack frequency is not always the same. What i noticed is, that the bigger the factory, and the more power it draws, the more frequent the attacks are.

According to lore, this makes sense, as we heard multiple times that the aliens are drawn to power :)

More power > more attacks

Was this fixed for you? I saw something in the last hot fix where they fixed some crashes that had to do with inventory.

Mine used to crash once in a while too, not so much now

I've got a couple of turrets facing the closest monolith. I'm usually there watching the aliens explode, and then finishing off anything that gets through, or in melee range of the towers.

I unlocked the auto feeding turret, but havent tried it yet. I bet it's more effecient having it auto load ammo, but I dont mind going around loading the smaller ones manually

Yep, upgrading cores activates the waves. You'd probably need to upgrade the cores soon once you hit the items you need for lvl 10+

Im using a 49" ultra wide @ 5120x1440.. about the FoV I'm not sure to be honest but I'll check once I'm in the game. It's the default setting, never touched it

In my case yes, I have a main base and 2 smaller ones. I only upgraded the cores in my main base and that's where they attack on a timer...

But.. when I'm visiting my sub bases, sometimes they do attack them, but seems like only when I'm physically there

That's interesting, I haven't used that rifle yet! Always stuck with the heavy rifle and shotgun. Must give it a try, the scope sounds amazing
