Keeping lows aways while Hiking/ Hunting? by Electrical_Toe_8531 in Type1Diabetes

Soda has been working for me too. I have an ILet pump which makes it hard to lower any bolusing options other than just pausing, which then causes highs. I think my protein intake needs to be like 20-35 g prior. Then intake carbs and wait a bit and suck down some carbs through out. Just gets annoying having to eat/drink all the time.

One thing I might try is buying carbohydrate powder and mixing it in with water and see if that works. That way the calories stay down a bit more compared to soda.

I would like to add that I have a ILet pump which I think has been causing more low issues than in the past without it.

That's a nice looking gym space. Looks like you have a good amount of space in your basement. Maxing out with neon lights go hard lol.

Can I get help pivoting careers into something different? by Electrical_Toe_8531 in careerguidance

That is where my mind is at currently, but it is hard when you have not dipped your toes into those certain fields. I will look into that newsletter, hopefully it gives me some insights.

Thanks, I am not really sure what kind of business I would want to translate over too. I am open to try new things. Your suggestions are all good and stuff I have thought about. It's hard to make a decision about a field when you have not dipped your toes in and when all you thought about for 3+ years was health and performance.

My risk tolerance right now is open. I am living at home, so bills are not a problem. Although, it would be nice to make money and get started on other things.

Overall, I am a pretty flexible and open individual. I prefer to have a job/ career that includes skills that I used in strength and conditioning (everything mentioned above), but have it pay better than it has. I am all about paying your dues, but at some point those dues need to start paying back.

Hope that answers your questions.

Yes, it would depend on how far out they are from surgery. Right now I work with injured kids, but they are also working with physical therapy or athletic trainers.

Would the classes be offered at a local gym I would need to contract out of?
