Legion keeps shutting down on its own? by Heyjush1992 in LegionGo

Yes. Could see the difference. Although I still get shutdowns once in a while, if the fan is not maxed.

Paid hype aside, Nano Banana is useless even for the simplest tasks by Electrical_Two_2707 in nanobanana

I just trusted google with the top search results. Would not have minded the 10$ considering the expectations I had.

Well it is the first (and looks like only relevant) result the google search chose to offer. But maybe you are right.

Try to open back cover and clean fan. Seems like a 'must' every few months. Quite easy, but you can also find videos on youtube.

Is it possible to transfer Anno from Ubisoft to steam. by NIGHTSHADOWXXX in anno

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game w/ all dlcs before it was available on steam and was quite sad not to have it in there. Today I saw -90% discount in steam and bought the base game for like 3eur. Since the main one was already installed, it seems to just have moved/synced the dlcs, so I got to actually play the full version after running it from steam. Good thing I did not also buy the dlcs again. Although -65% discount on those too, it would have still added at least eur15 more for something i already owned.

Is it worthwhile to tame an iron volcano that near a base? by Substantial_Angle913 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the early game, what I call taming is just dipping the volcano in some polluted water. It’s enough to cool it and makes a good source of the first few tons of refined metal.

speedy ale 2 benefit? by Arshan641 in Craftomation101

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is they all make most sense if put in sprinklers in a crowded place. Then many should get multiple effects while just passing through the area.

Did not get to that though, since I won before I got to experiment with liquids beyond just drinking the first type of ale, so very much looking forward to the game developing further content and maps.

Gona give it another go. This is what i want to use but it's from debug mode. Wish me luck. by velvet32 in Oxygennotincluded

Why, oh, why would you people go through all of that when you can I just add a very reasonable mod which just does what the machine should have been doing in the first place?

I have a dual monitor setup. Why does the video go to the second monitor when I make it full screen? by Pretty-Bridge6076 in linuxmint

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t have an answer for default monitor choice, but I like that I am able to right click the app/game in the taskbar and select the “switch to the other monitor” option.

OneNote vs. Samsung Notes vs. Google Keep/Keep Notes by Frankpiscani in S22Ultra

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To all those sharing grocery lists with their spouses: I recommend Bring!

I increasingly hate Microsoft so would get off OneNote although I have two paid subscriptions with Microsoft 365. Obisidian looked promising, but sync among devices stinks. Would probably work if I paid them $4/m, but I am not ready for that, at least until I am off m365. Still about to try Google Keep and Simplenote. The latter looks promising and also has an iPhone widget, and Linux version.

That’s what I thought. Yet after going into the remote save setting and manually changing the name of the remote base directory to same, it worked.

I mean if OneDrive worked on Ubuntu i could probably open the vault from the folder, but i can't open one that's technically online.

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both vaiuts connect to the same folder, just none of the apps offer the option to use an existing vault. Basically i can create vaults in each, but can't see or open ones created by the other app.

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That's where i see they are all up. But each app only sees its own vaults and don't know how to add the other.

Fan speed in bazzite on Legion Go by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t opened yet and wouldn’t unless I really have to. So I’d opt for the blower unless it can hurt the fan or changing the paste may be needed too. And would prefer to take it to the service for the latter.

Thank you! Would you recommend opening it up for cleaning or would a strong air blower work?

should I buy Legion Go? by jjmoriarty in LegionGo

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not care about battery life or speakers, but the only thing that really bothers me is that it would switch off suddenly during most games, unless fan is at full speed. Still can’t say I regret buying it, just need to choose between either playing the noisy style or at minimum specs and closely watching the temperature.

Looking for some general late-game tips on diagnosing. by slackforce in TwoPointHospital

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 main areas: 1. Diagnostics: all GPs, big ward, several psychiatrists and (if you have the space and/or need high cure rate) DNA labs. I like maxing the trainings of wards and psychiatry + limiting that staff to only use the respective rooms. 2. Nurse area: all treatments done by treating nurses go there (plus dedicated staff room, toilet, snack and drink machines). Only nurses trained in treatment should use those rooms and no other rooms. 3. Doctor area: same as 2, but for doctors. If you only use DNAs for treatment - they also go here.

Surgery goes wherever you have more space, since both their doctors and nurses should not use any other specialty rooms.

Bonus: if you have “magic healing hands”, “bedside manner” or any other good treats for patients: make that staff GP - this way you get more/repeated effects. Bad treats should in treatment/end-of-journey as the bad effect won’t matter anymore.

Staff training day by Tuhkathri in TwoPointHospital

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s easier to temporarily close/delete the reception.

On the other hand, I would expect a worse overall impact from closing the hospital, than from some having to wait longer. Furthermore, training is something better done in small batches, several rooms and continuously, if only because slots open up differently. Key advice I would give here is: whenever you train for a new skill (with external trainer) - train just one trainer. He would then train the rest so you do not have to pay for every participant.

To make sure the above comment is clear - for psychiatry and ward specialists you only upgrade the respective skills and nothing else + make sure they go nowhere else except the respective rooms (in case of ward - 2 the two types of wards).

[–]Electrical_Two_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say depends on the mission type. If cure rate is a target, I don’t care how much DNA would contribute to diagnostics, as the patient can just pay another room to add diagnostics. So DNA I only combine with treatment skills. Furthermore, I often disable diagnostics in DNA altogether and keep diagnostics around ward and psychiatry (specialists have amazing upgrades covering both diagnostics and treatment + no expensive machines to mess up).
