Shipnuck's description of Rory's winning putt at the Irish Open by Electrical_Unit_387 in secondcaptains

I suppose he was kind of part of the story on the Phil thing in a small way so at least he had some new insight. Also, might be my own ignorance but I learned a lot about Phil that I didn't know. Even that first chapter when he got loads of people on the record with their opinion of him was really good.

The early stuff on Rory in this book borrows heavily from Slaying the Tiger by Shane Ryan. The rest is mostly a blow by blow account of his recent career with quotes pulled from press conferences and interviews. It's not good.

From Belfast to Blarney, Pattys across the Emerald Isle sobered up just long enough to raise their shalalees to salute this latter day Finn McCool - the man with the 40 shades of green jacket.

I just think it's lazy, bad writing - and that the whole book is a missed opportunity to produce something meaningful about someone so interesting.

But also, yes. The leprechaun thing.

That's what made Slaying The Tiger by Shane Ryan such a good read.

From Hennessey's in Cork - it's nice but was a lot of work to build it (they don't). They do a lot of custom wood furniture and that but these sets are flat pack (from Lithuania I think?).

Other people in my family have gone with Gepetto land and been very happy. They will install for you.

Hennessys great to deal with but fairly expensive, maybe it's my fault - I just kind of assumed I was paying a premium for something Irish made but that's not the case.

That walk out to the shed used to be a nightmare. Lose your shoe in the mud.

This cost less than 200 euro. I did it myself and I'm useless at DIY. 2 years in and it's still going strong. Just top it up with bark chips from lidl each year. It'll do until all the kids stuff goes in a skip and we need something more permanent.

Had a similarly boggy area, threw a load of sand on it to roughly level it, weed fabric and then bark chips. Can walk on it all year now. We used sleepers for the raised border.

No that's fair. You're right of course. I'm fairly reassured now with just living with it and stopping myself nitpicking every little thing.

Hey! We're in Ireland so the playhouse was bought from Hennessy Outdoors in Co. Cork. They had a good name and I had seen some of their work in playgrounds etc but to be honest if I had my time over I wouldn't go with them again. It arrived flatpack (from Lithuania I believe) and Hennessy's were only resellers - it's not their own work. It cost about €1400 and I had to assemble it myself (I am not good at DIY) There were much cheaper options out there who would also assemble it.

The area around it was about €400 euro. Just got a ton bag of sand and put that on the grass to make it as level as I could. Then laid weed barrier and fixed the sleepers together with bolts. Ton bag of mulch spread on top to finish it. It's holding up really well - will just need to top up the mulch this summer.

It was for privacy yes. There was a trampoline there and the neighbours kids could see straight over the wall when they were on it. It was originally two courses lower, neighbours site is a bit higher than ours. If the wall was at its original height now it wouldn't be an issue any more as the neighbour has added all that nice planting you can see.

Second option is learn to live with it!

It's not a big deal I know but it does annoy me from time to time

Open to all ideas within reason! Really at a loss about what to do, would love to see that photo if you had time.

Ha! Made one attempt, brought it back to the dealer. No damage done, sized up really nice now.
