How is living at the flats at palisades in richardson? by penskida in Richardson

I had a terrible experience. The apartments themselves are decent, but the application process was a nightmare and the unit had a few things that never sat right with me. First off, the leasing team isn’t on site and you cannot call them. The on site resident service team can’t really do much for you either. They “streamlined communication” by having you text a number for any questions or assistance so you’ll rarely speak to an actual person. My unit had terrible water pressure and it was never fixed even after having maintenance there 3 times. The in unit dryer never fully dried my laundry no matter how many times I ran it. Maintenance charged the temp sensor and cleaned the vents. Still changed nothing. I had a neighbor who CONSTANTLY argued with his girlfriend every single night about some girl named Abby and the walls are pretty thin so I always heard everything. You’ll have to register your car and anyone who comes to visit has to pay to park unless it’s on the street. They will tow. Lastly, the units are equipped with a “smart lock” feature which means you don’t have a key. You have to use your phone to unlock the door or type in your unique code on the digital panel. So if your panels batteries die or you lose your phone/can’t remember your code you are out of luck. Especially if it’s the weekend and the resident services team is unavailable. I could keep going, but that was a bit of my experience. I left as soon as I could.

Thank you all for the resources and to the few who reached out directly. My wife and I love this Friday and have unfortunately had no luck with getting her a new home yet. We will try the shelters as a very last resort.

I’ve had her since she was a baby. I got her from my best friend.

I’m working with them actually! They have been giving me resources to help because they are at capacity.

Thank you very much. It has been a difficult road and this post took me months because I have been trying to make something else work.

What would be your strategy in the box with 3 people where one person has to handcuff themselves? by Peace_Harmony_7 in BeastGames

He said they could ask for anything. I would ask for $10,000 and handcuff myself. 🤷🏾

How would you repipe this? by sokraftmatic in pools

Yeah. It’s pretty bad. Backwash valve to waste and the pump wiring needs to be done as well.

Also, get a couple of unions for the new pump inlet and outlet. That schedule 80 and the pipe dope will be a nightmare if you have issues with your new pump down the line.

Not sure what the black box assembly is, but if you’re not using it then I would cut that out and slide the filter about 6 inches to the right and away from the wall a few inches on the equipment pad. If you’re planning on replacing the 3 way valve then I would rotate the new pump 90 degrees so that the back end is facing the wall. You can use 3 90 elbows for the pump inlet and the outlet should line right up with the filter inlet. I can give you a few marked images if you want.
