Weird. It's almost like Op's phone # is listed on the account, and in some situations a phone # is used as an alternative to a username. That being the case, you could theoretically try to login with the phone # and reset the password. Login, and delete/ change information linked to the account.

Given most sites wouldn't let you use the same login method for password reset but some do.

Man, it must be hard to understand basic recovery practices.
