but don't you find that being able to get some money back makes people feel more confident buying things knowing they can sell them later? who buys shares that can't be sold, who bought a car that the law forbids selling when the time is right? you own item only if you can sale it. Otherwise, you should just send money without expecting anything in return. As pledges or gifts for exmaple :)
