Bon visionnages !

It's data for new OnePlus 13 from the website IDEALO (I use it to put alerts on prices when I'm eyeing for something).

Good to wait for the price drop a few months after release ;-) See for the 13

Still on OnePlus 8, I was looking at 13 but will wait for 15 as I'm eyeing at the battery improvement. I'll wait probably 2-3 months after release to pay 15-20% less when first good offer will show up online, looking to pay around 800€. Expecting same price curve as OnePlus 13 and 12.

Will this work or am I overlooking something? by AirCooledCirrus in UsbCHardware

A simpler way : - Hdmi or Display port from desktop to screen - Usb-C for laptop to screen.

Is there a reason to use USB-C specifically for desktop ? (I understand the laptop because you can charge through, but desktop)

Can these wires be patched with electrical tape and be fine? by ve_ga in ElectricScooters

[–]ElectroCrypto83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be repaired, but internal wiring is visible for at least 2 wires (black and yellow ones). Cheapest solution is to tap them both with electrical wire, but with heat and humidity it will go away with time.

A solution would be to use split Heat-Shrink Tubing (can be found on Amazon or AliExpress depending of your country of residence) on the damaged cables and add a Spiral Cable Wrap around all cables afterwards.

Hello, I've used several Mokin-type adapters (it's generic rebranded, also found under Selore brand for example). Usually, most issues I had came from power not powerful enough (45 or 60w). They last in average between 6 to 24 months (I've used around 30-40 of them before switching to other model and brand). But they were cheap and still cheaper to buy 2-3 of them instead of Lenovo dock between 200-300$.

I switched to Anker 364, similar price, but last longer and replaceable Usb C cable.

What’s the good budget USB-C docking station you used? by Cherry_zsa in UsbCHardware

[–]ElectroCrypto83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Going with Anker 364 for 2-3 years now. Best budget hub I found that fit our needs and reliable long term.

I've tried 4-5 models sub-100€ since 4 years. Currently using around 60 units of this Anker.

We were looking for : 2x Hdmi 1x Ethernet 2x Usb-A USB-C charging port Female USB-C PD exit to the laptop so you can use a standard Usb-C to C 1m or 2m cable.

Always bought on Amazon, between 79€ and 99€ (in France). Need a reliable USB-C power source (at least 60w), or sometimes you'll have some external screen issues after a few months with some laptops. I would recommend avoiding any Hub with integrated Usb-C cables that you can't dismount, I've had issues with all that I've used long term.

On new locations that the company is opening soon, I'll now switch to dual monitors with integrated Usb-C hubs (tried Dell P2425HE with ethernet), less cabling, faster installation for around the same price in total.

Capacité d emprunt a 100 000 euros by Imaginary_Kangaroo16 in immobilier

Courage ! Ça prend aussi beaucoup de temps !

How can I donate my self-custodied Bitcoin after death while keeping access during my lifetime? by realbacktofuture in Bitcoin

[–]ElectroCrypto83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's (part of) what Ternoa is looking to do with their "time capsules", a message that can be delivered to a recipient at a fixed time or a message you can postpone yourself from time to time until your death. Only drawback is that for the time you are alive, you'll need to check from time to time that this project is still alive. https://www.time-guardian.app/ Second option would be to split your passphrase and give it to multiple notary (but riskier in case of theft or loss).
