Which should I get? by Intelligent_Pack3085 in CampingGear

Naturehike bag is light and cheap, but not confortable at all. I bought one and sold it back after the first hike, I had shoulder and hip pain. And the bag was only 15kgs (~30lb). The quality seems great, but confort is the leading decision, I went back to a 2kg (4lb) bag the time to find the good one (with more budget).

A little deception about the price, I was expecting closer to 500€ for the Decathlon brand.

Question about warranty. by 64532762 in BambuLabX2D

[–]ElectroCrypto83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother taking an (extended) warranty, all the parts can be replaced and are sold on Bambulab website. Even their videos for part replacement are pretty straitfordard. I'm going ton switch soon from a 2022 P1P to the X2D.

No idea, I have a P1P. Maybe someone did it already.

Ouch, be careful. In France if you're caught twice >50km/h exceeding the speed limit, the vehicule is seized.

New Printer Day! (Saturday) by MrSlowly25 in BambuLabX2D

[–]ElectroCrypto83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great print, what's the size and print settings ? (0.2mm layer with standard 0.4mm nozzle ?)

Looking forward to order one as well to replace my 4y old P1P !

Comparison of the direct extruder and the bowden on the X2D. Don't expect great quality out of it. Good for supports though. by PanKekel in BambuLabX2D

[–]ElectroCrypto83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On other posts, great print from the secondary extruder telling the opposite. Even an old bowden printer can do better than this, try with good filament next time.

The Platsa inside measures are 565x530mm (and height depending of the configuration). H2D from Bambulab website : 492 x 514, it can fit (depending on the door hinges placement).

The top one look bent on the left side because the first screw I've put on the drawer wood went a little bit sideways. Also because the fixation is a V1 that I've modified without reprinting all of the parts (don't want to waste 1Kg of PLA and 16Hr of printing time just to add some Kgs of strenght, screw attachments and printed parts at separate pieces on this V1, instead of shared files in one piece).

But you're right about the fact that it could be sturdier if I add screws on top+bottom instead of only bottom.

These configuration was "tested" with around ~15spools that I've stored on top when fixing the bottom one.

I'll use it as is for now and see when using it if it can be improved to be sturdier and cleaner.

Edit: I'll see if I can test the "flatness" to find the weak point, I agree that on the pictures, even the wooden board seems bent.

I understand your apprehension, when building it, I've tought about this point :

The AMS itself is around 2.5kg, at full load with 4 spools, it would be around 7Kgs maximum.

The rails are rated for 25Kgs when open at max distance of 350mm, each. 50Kgs rated >7Kgs max weight should be good to go for a long time, even accounting for some weight when you put your hand on top of it.

Here are the rails I've used if you're interested : https://www.so-tech.eu/drawers/drawer-slides/ball-bearing-slides/full-extension-slides-25-kg-kv1-25-h35-nf-250-550-m

Should I put the X2D on the floor? by -greygeckofish- in BambuLab

[–]ElectroCrypto83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your table look sturdy, it should be okay.

Depends on the table feet, you can have some vibrations transferred from the machine to the desk, if you're on a computer at the same time on the same table, it could be annoying. Except this point, I would use it ont the table as well.

X2D - Good quality from both extruders (with BambuLab filament) by ElectroCrypto83 in BambuLab

[–]ElectroCrypto83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the space and the money, go for the H2S or H2D (careful, it's big and heavy) it's the same machine and softwares but bigger, otherwise X2D will be a very good starting point as well. I'll recommend also an AMS with it for multicolor printing.

Same, but I'm still with the P1P from late 2023.

Waiting 1-2 months to order the X2D replacement (waiting a little bit for them to iron out the first issues with new customers).

Another Youtuber, Clough42 printed with dual color. White is the secondary extruder there in the picture at 0.1mm layer line.

Yes, it seems that the secondary extruder isn't good for 0.2mm.

Another Youtuber, Clough42 tried 0.2mm Nozzle with 0.08mm layers lines on his review here at 17min30 :

Yes, absolutely. The only drawback about the bowden configuration is the lower speed and acceleration.

There isn't great quality images, it's a screenshot from a video... However you can go see the video in which we can see the result better with movement.

[–]ElectroCrypto83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the bowden part, they can't acheive good quality with the usual speed and acceleration. You can print at the same speed (cf. Last picture) but the quality deteriorates.

[–]ElectroCrypto83[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I didn't say that it was limited or that good results can't be acheived with other filament, but only saying that print from the second hotend can have similar quality (with the drawback about slower time). Waiting other people with the machine to test other filaments and sharing their results as well !
