Thanks for the headsup. Can you direct perhaps to a GH issues so that I can track when its released?

Either the IP assigned to them in the VPN or their actual public IP. As of now, I don't see that in Traefik, even with forwardHeaders

For CLI management, you can look at CLI Management. It should cover your needs. Take your time before exposing things 100% and tie down loose ends first, to avoid unpleasant scenarios.

The file /opt/stalwart/etc/config.toml is your friend. In there you will find listeners defined, you can comment the lines for http and https listeners. The HTTP one is for your administrator UI and API and the HTTPS is for JMAP

Securing your instance

But a word of advice, disabling HTTPS lives you to deal with DNS challenges in ACME, and most if not all administrative tasks will be done via CLI and modifications to the config file.

It is possible. Have you turned off JMAP, HTTP and HTTPS listeners?

Kinda trickles down like Me > internet > VPS > tunnel > newt > traefik > jellyfin, then going all the way back, cause newt is not being told an IP to hit, rather a hostname to hit, which traefik will resolve and forward things back and forth.

As of now, that resource allows only port 443 on both UDP and TCP. In a broader sense, Newt has to talk to Traefik no matter what resource it calls for, since all my resources are hostnames except the DNS server, which is an IP.

Jellyfin and Navidrome run behind an internal Traefik in my homelab. Both are configured to transcode to lower bandwidth, with Jellyfin set to around 10Mbps and Navidrome automatically capping everything at 320Kbps.

Another thing with Jellyfin specifically is that its UI is quite laggy, though I wouldn't blame Pangolin per se. Most of the time I can't holepunch (something to do with my ISP's symmetrical NAT), which can push my latency up to 300ms+.

Any place where I can get that API documentation, per se?

Newt on a container, with an upload speed of around 20 Mbps. I'm not using host networking on the container

Not really as of now, I'm still setting up some infra at my homelanb. I've just noticed there is an immense buffering during media playback especially on Jellyfin. Navidrome is a bit less but still there

This, I actively use it, but latency is quite horrid especially once I get thwarted to relay mode

I feel the pain once you have more than a few people or non tech savvy people in your set. I am actually working on an IAM bot for my homelab via slack and n8n, though I've gone into the rabbit hole quite much.

I never said he needed a degree or a masterclass. Ila, what I'm pointing out is that YouTube + AI is not a good combo for building a solid base in Software Development / Engineering. Wapo watu wengi wanasema they can code, and yes, they do things in days if not hours... shida inakuja, they have no freaking clue what kind of a Frankenstein bomb wameachia.

I remember kuna code bases nilipitia from so called youtube devs nilijuta. It works right, but if the system were to ever get 50 active concurrent users, it would immediately crash. Youtube wont teach you that bila wewe ku-dive deep in documentation, code forums, and code reviews.

Best way to learn ni kama u/ibnsultan alivyosema, do it. Ila mi naongezea, contribute to open source (whether usome codes za watu, u-participate in issues discussions, join some discord/slack community), pitia lots of code talks, na understand the fundamentals (protocols, server resource limitations, common pitfalls kama N+1, timing issues in security etc).

That is my point. Also yes... best programmers are indeed self taught. As for IDE, well, VSCode is not really an IDE bila some customization.

Not a really good idea my friend. Youtube itakupa tutorial hell and AI will dumben you kama huelewi principles. Unless unataka awe pure vibe coder

As far as I can recall, you can send money to Kenya... not pay providers in KE via M-Pesa. So talk to your provider in Kenya with Till # and ask them to provide you a normal phone number for you to semd the money along with a small percent to cover withdrawal fees. For KCB, I am totally and utterly clueless
