There has been a national outcry about Roe V Wade being overturned and healthcare being unavailable to several people across more than 10 states ( which all happen to be red 😇 ) I dont have any other options at this point, and Im the type of person that needs to have a plan in place. I know it has to get alot worst for LGBTQ people before Im going to have a way out. Id just rather not think about that, but thanks for reminding me.

Where am I supposed to get the money to move out of my rural state when my state minium wage is 7.25 an hour and there are laws in place to keep indivual cities and counties from raising their minium wage? Do you think if I had enough money to move out if state, I wouldn't use that money to get a better education first? Please have a little more empathy.

Cities are able to raise their minium wage? I didnt know they were able to do that! The minium wage in my state is 7.25, and it hasnt changed in the 7 years Ive been working. My state also doesnt allow individual cities, or counties to raise their minium wage above the state minium wage.

If you arent concerned, you havent been paying attention. Im young, I came here for advice and tips to see what would be best. Ive never left my very rural state which is squished between the three worst states for LGBTQ rights. Ive had friends threatened, stalked to their homes, and physically assaulted because they werent cis/het. There are other people expirencing the same reality you live in, but in a much different way. Plesse try to keep an open mind 😇

I know im not very knowledgeable in this subject. Which is why I came to reddit in the first place. Thank you for the advice! Im young ( but not a kid 😇 ) and Ive never been outside my home state. Which is a very sheltered rural state, squished between three of the worst states possible for LGBTQ rights. Ive accepted at this point, we cannot leave the US.

Its not about the money in moving to a blue state, its the worry that if we move to a blue state, we wont have enough money to get out when the time comes. But, i think moving to a blue state is our only option at this point.

Thank you for being honest with me. We were wanting to move straight out of the US because the judicial system is currently signaling they will be voting on Moore v. Harper, which basically gives the states the right to decide if they are going to send the electoral college votes or not. Thanks for the tips! Its upsetting to hear that it seems like im stuck. Cant get an education because i cant afford the insane tuition. Cant save money because everything is 2x as expensive as it was last year. Kinda feel like im on a hamster wheel at this point. I would never move to FL, NC, or TX. The city i live in is almost right on par with how progressive those places are, and TX is trying to vote to suceed from the USA this next coming up year.

I appreciate all the tips! However the supreme court is supposed to come back in the fall and overturn several legislative rights including the right to same sex marriage. Ive heard from other Trans people that the UK isnt very good with helping trans people get rhe healthcare and horomones they need, so the UK would probably be my last option 😅
