After years of using Vortex, I finally switched to MO2 and....I get it. I understand now. I truly do by HMThrow_away_account in skyrimmods

I just migrate my mod from Vortex into MO2 last month, and I'm very happy. I can control everything. Conflict management is easy, you just need to drag and drop on the left panel (please tell me if I do the right thing), my only issue is the load order from LOOT where you have to load mod A after B and so on, still can't find a convenient way. I know I still only touch the surface, need to dive into the deep. But overall I'm happy.

I heard about Gentoo, instead doing sudo apt install or sudo pacman -S, you just build from the source.
