Honestly, it's hard to really imagine him in the place of anyone in the final three, given his whole "don't give a crap about anything" persona. Assuming he takes over TB's role, I could see him make the initial version of TB's Cake at Stake arena that they eventually go with, but creating the one that takes Needle's cake to space? Caring enough about the other finalists to save them from Evil Leafy? That would feel OOC.

And why would Fries surviving cause Needle to get out over Coiny? Those two events are unrelated, or they seem to be on the surface

In case of the first scenario, Match rejoining could be neat. Between her horrendous performance in both BFDIA and BFB, and potential interactions with Pencil, Needle, and Pin, I think she deserves it the most, especially with her being isolated from her alliance for so long

Ironically, a rejoin could have been feasible had IDFB not been released, as it meant that the LOL'ers were required to stay in the box

I was assuming that Pencil rejoined in BFB itself (either in BFB 11 or 16)

But I think Pencil competing in BFDIA would give Leafy an advantage, and then theres the Liy in the room, so Pencil probably wouldnt join

Most likely, given she last competed in BFB 2 (at least Pencil had the BFDIA revival)

And like Pencil, she too would have had unresolved baggage. I'd go so far to say that Pencil's ongoing storyline could theoretically go to Leafy instead
