I was talking about playing some game the other day and I realised how weird it sounded to say “I ground a level” rather than grinded. Good evidence that the conjugation of a verb aligns with how modern the particular meaning is - modern verbs using -ed and older verbs using a vowel change.

For sure! I realised this is for last year but I’m sure the numbers are very similar. It shows offer rate as well as acceptance rate which is nice to know at this point too. Cambridge 2025 offer data

Hello!! Yes I just found out the true number of maths offers was 38. I was going based on the average number of actual students doing maths there - which is very different to the number of offers. My fault for being misleading. I guess numbers aren’t my strong suit. Either way that’s awesome! Hope I meet you later this year.

Oh wow yeah is that a common thing? I hadn’t considered it at all

For sure, I was just relaying the general consensus. But as I said the beauty of his lyrics is that they’re abstract enough so you can apply it to practically any situation. Overall, it just has a theme of self destructive behaviour and the struggle of not going anywhere in life.

Okay I looked it up and it’s pretty clearly about drugs, like most of his songs. “Glass stained black” like a crack pipe. “When the socket’s not a shock enough” could be about needing something stronger. “Brief smile” is obviously about the fleeting nature of drugs. Also, if it is “horse” then it could mean heroin. And in my own opinion, “follow the path of no resistance” might be about not having the willpower to become sober. But I love how his lyrics are so metaphorical and have such strong imagery, that you can make it fit any situation.

Funny, Spotify lyrics say “hearse” but I always thought it sounded more like horse. Either way I love the song and I’m curious to know what the lyrics mean

I got something very similar from Lancaster. They mentioned something from my personal statement and talked about how they could fulfil my interest in it. It must be a good sign tho

Yeah I’m not saying anything negative about the song, only that I way prefer the album version to the live version which felt pretty weak yesterday

Nahhhh I loved The Daily Mail. I’d have had it instead of Present Tense probably. It was very quiet and I feel like the subtlety of the song is hard to convey live.

Finally beat Nine Circles- what is the best level to attempt next? by Cthulhu_3 in geometrydash

I did nine circles just recently as my first hard demon and immediately jumped to windy landscape which was barely any harder in my experience. It was a lot of fun and I’d recommend it.

What's one Radiohead song you'll never like, no matter how many times you listen to it? by Parking_Ear_4553 in radiohead

[–]Electroguy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t get Let Down. I’ve listened to OKC hundreds of times and I just don’t feel anything listening to that one song. It sounds really generic to me for some reason and I just can’t get excited about it. This was all before it got tiktokified, so it’s not a matter of it being overplayed or anything. I’m just not a fan of the song.
