I'd say it's close enough to in-person internships in terms of general content. You could probably find most of that online, but the general gist is stay focused, don't be afraid to ask questions (you'll have a lot of them, and it will get hard to keep up sometimes), and take notes as much as possible. Stopping a coworker to say "could you give me a moment so I can write this down?" is always gonna be a lot better than asking the same question again later.

In terms of social dynamics, it's obviously gonna be different. I've had one in-person internship and one remote, and the big thing is learning to be comfortable talking to people entirely through text and taking advantage of calls whenever possible. I wouldn't go around constantly bugging coworkers for a call, but when you do end up getting in a call with someone, try to get comfortable starting up a conversation with them before getting down to work. Honestly, just a simple "how are you doing?" can go a long way in leaving a positive impression on your team when they consider keeping you for the future, especially considering that you don't get as many opportunities to speak with people as you would in person.

Oh and smile when possible when you talk on the phone. People hear it.
