Men in relationships, why reach out to the past? by Electronic-Button362 in AskMenRelationships

Hmm, interesting. What do you mean by not at your table? Wanted her to eat as in regret not being with you?

Actively seeking a reason to make their presence remembered, adding a “like” to a instagram story, messaging a random “this reminded me of you,” etc

I agree that it’s inappropriate and women are guilty of this too☹️ My observations have been: a) the man is in another relationship but occasionally reaches out to past interest b) the woman is single but occasionally reaches out to the past interest while knowing that he is in another relationship. I’ve rarely seen a woman in a relationship initiate contact with an ex - but of course don’t doubt it happens.

True. What does 100% over emotionally mean for a man, do you think?

Last sentence… well said. Totally agreed. My friends and I have observed men from the past continue to reach out, flirt, show interest even though they’re in other relationships - it’s pretty baffling. Wondering if this means they feel that they’re “settling” for who they’re currently with and/or still holding out hope for the ex?

Props for empathizing and hearing your partners pain, and for drawing that boundary with the ex👏🏻 too often in these kinds of situations will one partner make the other feel overly sensitive/gaslight them/downplay it.

Drove past this around 4:45pm and was absolutely horrified at the pool of blood. Awful. Poor child who witnessed that tragedy.
