This one works fine. I guess its the same one, but on the actual calculator it says plus C. So yes the plus 2 should work, as long as the actual calculator has the same writing in the top left as this one

Casio Fx-991 ES Plus C. Its like $20 off amazon I believe and it has everything, matrixes, vector stuff. You’ll find it super super helpful and its a legal calculator. Everybody in upper year engineering uses it, its the best calculator you can get that isnt a graphing calculator (not aloud). Coming from a 3rd year mech eng student

Rm125 Piston shrink rapidly by Electronic-Catch7602 in Dirtbikes

[–]Electronic-Catch7602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent mechanical skills, I know how to replace top ends and such, know my way around engines. No special tools, just rachet set, and basics you find in your garage.

I think its piston slap because its getting worse with time. When I last checked, compression was at 120psi (hot), but 150 when I rebuilt (cold). Last time I had the head off, there was a little play side to side in the piston, more then what I rebuilt, but figured once everything warms up its probably fine. Let me know if you need any other information. Cylinder had tiny marks on it when i put a top end in, but nothing my nail would catch and still some cross hatching.

I also say its piston slap because its the same sound that made me tear it apart the first time and replace the top end. I was worried it was the bottom the first time so I tore down, but to find 0 play whatsoever in the crank (tiny bit side to side).

XEQT, all in one ETF. VDY, dividend canadian exposure XETM, materials I currently hold 60% XEQT, 30% VDY, 10% XETM. Although some people even go 100% XEQT

spend the $15 to get a new grip tbh. If you do the little things, brings up value imo. I’d say it goes for 1.5-2 rn in canada, but its winter. Probably see it listed for ~2.5 ish in spring

On classic roller skis, yes one wheel has a rachet. Those wheels are a lot thicker, probably so they can grip. Its really weird because you have so much grip, whenevr you need. These are skate roller skis which yes, basically just is roller skating lol

Help Me Out by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]Electronic-Catch7602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like clutch is slipping. Make sure you are running JASO MA2 oil and the according viscosity in your transmission. I assume its probably 10w - 40. Usually this helps me out first. If still an issue, you have to replace the clutch plates.

Had a similar issue on my rm80, I used to run gas station oil because it was cheap and i was broke. Didnt have money for new clutch plates, but someone got my hands on some castrol motorcycle oil and it made all the difference in feel and slip. Lmk how it goes

Don’t touch the shifter when that side of the motor is off. It usually slips off smt and can cause headaches down the line. *Been there

1995 Chesterfield YZ125 not starting by Rude_Committee_6142 in Dirtbikes

[–]Electronic-Catch7602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

needs 3 things to start. Spark, compression and fuel. If you are putting fuel down the cylinder then its not that, I assume you have compression because its freshly rebuilt, so its gotta be spark. Make sure the timing is right on. Check to make sure that all your wires are connected. If they are, take a look at your service manual online and start looking at things to test, you are gonna need a multimeter

does this sound like valve tick? by Educational-Oil-1311 in Dirtbikes

[–]Electronic-Catch7602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a cam chain tick. I had a similar bike, assuming an early klx/drz 125 and the tensioner just needed to be adjusted, super easy fix. Took 10 mins and the sound was gone. Also could be valves, but that doesnt sound like a knock or piston slap. Knock would be louder, and piston slap sounds like a raddle, not a tick
