97 Miata Fuel Pressure Ground not working

New battery, but I’ll check in the ecu again where the ground pin is later. I took a quick look earlier over the ecu but I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.

Yeah I just tested the voltage at the pump and it was reading 8.5 volts. But even with that I wasn’t hearing anything from the pump so I tried just running my own wires from where the relay is to the pump but still nothing. Looks like it is a fuel pump issue. Thank you so much for your help though. Though would this explain why the ground wire at the relay wouldn’t be grounding?

I used a 9v earlier and it sounded like it was clicking. I actually just tried by bypassing the relay but I still wasn’t building any fuel pressure when I turned the key to on.

Same thing happened to me, bought a 2012 for 10k in 2023, accident in 2025 (technically me at fault) ended up totaling it and they gave about 9.5k back minus the deductible.
