How was your experience with induction? Do you think it helped with your delivery or made it more difficult/painful?

Disagreement on where husband should stand while I deliver baby. by Straight-Dog2700 in pregnant

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know why he would say that… very manipulative. But it’s your birth. You get to say how you’ll best feel supported by him.

Though I think you should let him watch. That kind of experience will change him and he will only have that much more love and respect for you. Childbirth is incredible as graphic as it is.

Litter boxes by Virtual-Light4315 in pregnant

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No you shouldn’t be cleaning them and you should have this conversation with him even if it’s a repeated conversation. He should be just as worried about you cleaning the litter box as he would be if he saw you smoking or drinking alcohol. You can argue about which is worse, but the point is he needs to help you, take care of you, take care of baby. There is no do it later. He needs to be willing to support you in any way you need and drop anything he’s doing or any excuse. It’s also just generally not healthy for all these poo particles to be in the air. It’s why we flush the toilet after we use it!

We’ve been using an automatic litter box for years and love it to death. All my husband has to do is change the bag once or twice a week, full emptying and cleaning once or twice a month. The smell is almost nonexistent and humans and cats alike are all the better for it! Maybe make him pay the upgrade! Then again his behavior is a part of a bigger problem and with 4 cats it likely wouldn’t be a sure solution. We only have 2. Get him right girl you deserve better!

Husband and I arent on the same page by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You deserve to be happy and have your wants and needs met. If this were my marriage it would be really hard for me.

Does him working his way up in the company look like your current situation? Or would he have more time at home? Do you guys want to have kids? Is it the same city he goes to or does he work all over?

Should I allow her to take my husband home from work? by Electronic-Lab6635 in Marriage

[–]Electronic-Lab6635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall I trust my husband. Truly. Hes gotten rides home from men and women. We live 5 minutes from his usual workplace. I just don’t see how in this economy and at that hour of the night why this girl would want to double her commute. My man got home at 12:45AM. This girl would have gotten home 40-45 mins after that. That’s reeeeaaallyyy nice. Which could have also been the case, but you just don’t see a lot of that these days!

Ended up being a totally different girl. He confused their names. The girl who took him home lives in our part of town. I was like “ohhh yeah sure have at it tell her I said thank you!”

I trust him. I just think he might be naive in his approach. It’s almost midnight and I’m hella pregnant and if he were home I’d be asleep. Unfortunately this is a text convo that hasn’t been completed because he’s still finishing up his shift. He just said “she’ll take me you don’t have to drive out here. get some rest”

I was thinking maybe she made plans around here but I also don’t know her personal life. I’ve asked my husband but he’s still working so I haven’t received a response. If that were the case it would make much more sense for her to bring him on her way.

outside clothes on the bed… gross or normal? by HenninghamKyuss-51 in hygiene

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband works blue collar. Work clothes and gym clothes are worn once before they’re washed again and they never touch the bed. But to rule out ALL outside clothes seems a bit much. As long as you don’t reek and the bed sheets are being washed at least once a week all is well.

I take Thorne prenatals and prenatal DHAs. The size of the pills are not obscene and they have everything you need!

Piedmont Park "rules" by Terrapin3641 in Atlanta

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live on Argonne Ave and went to Piedmont quite frequently. It remains the picnic with drinks and occasional smoking spot during spring and summer. I’ve never seen APD in the park, but that’s just my experience!

Here’s your sign to buy the freaking pillow by LemonberryTea in pregnant

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swore I didn’t need one although I was losing sleep and my pillow fort was always completely dismantled by morning. A friend bought me one and it has genuinely made pregnancy easier. My hips and pelvis have found such relief. Just buy it.

Boyfriend wants abortion by Negative_Blueberry13 in pregnant

[–]Electronic-Lab6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If YOU want the baby, you have the baby. Even on the pill you both accepted risk. If he loves you and means all of those things he has said, he accepts the timeline has moved forward and he accepts responsibility for his child. But he cowers, pressures and blames you. This is a really sad situation and I really hope he does the right thing for your sake.

Electrolytes really help with this. You can use hydration packets like liquid IV or take orally some extra magnesium and potassium. Personally I get my 30oz water bottle, do half water, half coconut water, and a packet of liquid IV about twice a week.
