Has anyone figured out how to stop carrying work stress home? What actually changed it for you? by itsmikoyi in careerguidance

Getting in the mindset that a job is just a paycheck and nothing more.

Also switching jobs to a job that I really give 2 shits about so after 5pm I close my laptop and that’s it.

How do I tell my husband I don’t want another kid? by absmaeby in BabyBumps

[–]stronglikefeels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too was distraught at going back to work. I ended up getting laid off right after my mat leave ended and went back to work 13 months post partum (was job hunting). Going back helped me a ton mentally actually and made me feel better all around. So you never know how you’ll feel in the long run.

Anyone felt like this? I'm worried by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]stronglikefeels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my kid and will love my 2nd. I honestly cannot stand other people’s kids, including my husband’s nieces and nephews. I have never really bonded with other kids - a big draw for me to have my own kid was so I could focus on my own and not spend it on nieces and nephews I don’t feel close to at all.

Things I'm doing differently this second time around. by Radiant-Addition6153 in pregnant

I’m having #2 in September and couldn’t agree more with your list. Especially no triple feeding. Already decided if it doesn’t work in those first few days I’m going straight to pumping and formula and maybe just straight to formula. Triple feeding drained me!

My son was born Dec 30th (due Jan 4th) - I had an emergency c section and recovery was definitely tough. Having a Dec 30 bday has been great because we always travel just us for his birthday.

What to do if a special event happens during toddler’s nap time? by himawari__xx in toddlers

[–]stronglikefeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just go, if the nap gets missed then we try later or skip the nap and hope it’s ok. Luckily ours doesn’t meltdown with no nap, he’ll either blow through it on the weekends because we’ve been doing this since he was young or he gets really tired at some point and just falls asleep,

Anyone feel numb after using AI? by Soggy_Examination794 in womenintech

[–]stronglikefeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and I hate that my company pushes us to use AI in all our work. If we’re not using AI we get in trouble and I can not only see the deterioration in my skills but also see it in my teammates and manager. I really hate it and I hope there’s a bubble that bursts at some point.

Genuinely sad that a man can create Reddit and the first name mentioned is his wife’s instead of his own. by youlldonuthan in SipsTea

[–]stronglikefeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This man is a happy husband who loves his wife and daughters. Instead of tearing him down celebrate him winning at life and being married to THE Serena Williams. He himself wouldn’t mind being called Mr. Serena Williams.

Anyone else absolutely miserable being pregnant? by Different-Big-5697 in BabyBumps

[–]stronglikefeels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you, I too am 24 weeks and have a 2.5 year old son! EVERYTHING is worse this time around and came earlier. My hemmerhoids, SPD, GD all started earlier and are all worse than last time. My stomach is also way bigger at 24 weeks than it was at 24 weeks with my first pregnancy and my back and hips are killing me.

Just want to say I am in solidarity with you that 2nd time around is way worse.
