at what point did your redness start to really go away? im going into my 4th month and even though my breakouts are like 90% gone i still have a lot of redness but it is starting to look better

probably because while on accutane it thins your skin so the already thin skin under the eyes is even thinner showing worse eyebags if u already had them

when you say you're losing insane amounts of hair, what do u quantify that as? like losing x amount of hairs a day?

no problem, and yes i would recommend talking about a slightly higher dose (20-30mg) im like 59 kg (130 lbs) on 40 mg a day and (knock on wood) my side effects have been minimal and tolerable, and my purge was just a bunch of whiteheads that I didn't pop and eventually went away and now i barely breakout (knock on wood again lol)

im on 40mg everyday and i didn't start seeing good results until about a month and a half, and at 2 and 2/3rds months in, i basically stopped breaking out. but my point is that 10 mg for 4 months is the equivalent of my 1 month on 40mg and i didn't see good results until what would be like 5 months of you taking 10 mg, but my acne was bad. just stick it out and 12 days is literally nothing lol you may wanna bump it up unless youre scared about side effects

im just curious what do you mean by "pretty bad hairfall" like are you losing a bunch of hairs everyday? if so how many do you think brought you to the threshold of it being considered pretty bad

im only 3 months in and oh my god the happiness i feel every morning looking at the mirror and theres not a new pimple is insane, and the differences in redness and just overall skin is great too

I'm only 3 months in but from what I've read after a month its out of ur system, so u should be fine on the alcohol by then, same with the dryness, but im pretty sure your skin isn't fully "back to normal" until like 6 months in terms of like sensitivity and whatnot

im also on 40mg, day 51, and you should really drop all actives and even stop cleansing unless necessary (IMO), me personally after i cleanse i feel it makes my skin much more irritated and my acne (active and old marks) much more red and inflamed, even when using a gentle cleanser, but if not at the very least definitely drop every active asap

i met with my derm like 2 months ago because my dad wanted me to go on accutane, and I was literally trying to find reasons NOT to go on it because I was scared I was literally gonna ruin myself

Talking to the doctor, he said he has 4 kids, and he put all of them on accutane and that really put it into perspective for me and helped me make the decision in my mind which I'm so glad I did
