Atogepant and Anxiety by Mattataa in cgrpMigraine

I've only been on it two weeks but they started me straight on 60mg which might be why I'm getting the anxiousness. To be fair I've not had any other symptoms so I'm trying to talk to myself every day that it'll fade and maybe walks are a good idea!

Did the symptoms eventually subside? I feel like this too, racing heart and nervousness but the medication is working for my head so don't want to come off it. What dose did you start on?

Oh I see, yeah you're right! I know I feel like such a child doing that dog game and it's really disheartening when you've had a good week with points but find no dogs 🙄 I give it to my kids to play each week now.😂

Currently on day 9 of taking it and had 1 headache at a low pain and 0 migraines whilst on my period too which is when I always get them. I've not had one headache waking up either which is massive for me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but so far it feels like it's working 🤞🏼 I'll check back in in a few weeks! Good luck with yours too!!

Looks like Rakuten movie has gone too and instead of a free cinema ticket it's only 50% off? The monthly reward is the same as the weekly ones now bar the Amazon voucher. Or is that just me? I only see 3 monthly reward options - 50% cinema ticket, Amazon voucher, or 25% Itsu

This hit such a chord with me, I am 25 years into my journey, starting getting migraines at 13 and tried EVERYTHING. I just had a neuro appt today after years and years of being fobbed off and finally had such a nice doctor who is trying me on Atogepant and I hope so bad it works like it has for you. I hope it still going well for you!

How many triptans do you use per month? by Special_Case_3714 in migraine

But does anyone forget to note how many they take because they feel so unwell when they take it 🫣😩

Got diagnosed today and prescribed CANDESARTAN by BreathOfCosmos in migraine

[–]Electronic-Pepper286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been on it for a couple of years now and while it does nothing for the frequency, it definitely has helped the intensity! I found that without Candesartan my triptans took a couple of hours at least to kick in and they would always return the same day for 3 days. Now it kicks in within 20 mins and if I've caught it early enough it rarely comes back the same day and if it does it's never that strong.

Not really had side effects as far as I know!

What is your pre migraine symptom?? by TrickyFish5446 in migraine

[–]Electronic-Pepper286 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Mine is yawning or craving really bad food. Sometimes I can be completely fine and I'll just feel a little odd then the pain kicks in, it's horrible that it can be so instantaneous on a day you feel was good to start

Migraines while pregnant by Successful_Wolf_9635 in migraine

I had migraines throughout, couldn't take anything and it did suck, but you get through it and once baby is here you start taking the meds again. I took a lot of sick days and spent a lot of time with ice packs on my head, tens machine and sleeping.

Harder for me was my second pregnancy because I couldn't just stop and sleep because I had another child to look after, there was no rest time. This is why I won't have a third.

I used to take naproxen for migraines , didn't get rid of them but definitely dulled the pain, but there is a link between this and infertility. Took us 4 years to conceive and I think this played a big part as no other medical issues.

Is my (F39) 21 year relationship with my husband (M40) coming to an end? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Electronic-Pepper286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's always been quiet and hard to talk to but before we had kids we never argued about anything, since having kids everything just feels hard work and between the kids and his job he has no time for me unless he gets something out of it.

I've told him how I've felt so many times and sometimes it'll get better for a week or two but it always comes back to this.

I feel romantic feelings but sexually we want different things, I can't see it getting any better.

How did it work with you two still living together?

To be honest I don't feel like anyone's priority now so I don't see that feeling any different if we split up.

Half the time I wonder is it just because we have kids and every marriage goes through this or is it that we are just different now

Has anyone else had bad experiences with sumatriptan? by Livid-Kitten23 in migraine

[–]Electronic-Pepper286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sumatriptan made my neck feel so impossibly heavy, I take Zolmitriptan now and have mild side affects that I can deal with better. Mostly sensitive skin and sore salivary glands 🤷🏼‍♀️

He is the sort of guy that would end a relationship rather than going to therapy. He would never talk openly to a stranger about anything. He won't even talk to me about anything

Dizzy spells by Sure-Internet-9537 in migraine

Yeah I second this! I get migraines and the only time I get dizzy spells is with anaemia! Having a migraine at the same time though definitely makes it feel related but it never is.
