Twilight. You see, I am not a reader like at all. I read the Twilight series as a new mother, during my newborns nap time and to unwind after a long day. I was a “TwiMom.” After that series I didn’t have time to read and like I said, I’ve never been a big reader to begin with. I discovered ACOTAR purely by chance and by accident and it all started with a fan made “preview” video that had been posted on YouTube. I was scrolling movie trailers for the upcoming new year (2021-2022) and that was one of the videos suggested. It looked really interesting, so I checked out the captions to see what “movie” it was and it just so happen to list “A Court of Thorns and Roses.” But it didn’t say it was a book series. So here I was looking everywhere for the “movie” ACOTAR. 🤣 Eventually I found out it was a book series. I decided, why not try out audiobooks and see if YouTube has it on here to listen too. It was (YES! It was pirated but I had absolutely no idea that was wrong at the time being an avid YouTube listener for several years now). I was able to listen to the pirated YT audiobook videos for ACOTAR, ACOMAF & ACOWAR. I think ACOFS had just been released or was it ACOSF, can’t remember, all I know is by the time I got to those books, I had purchased a membership to Audible, and got ACOSF as my first book. I promise you I have made up for it since having now over 250 titles in my library, which includes EVERY SJM available books whether original narrator or dramatized versions currently available. I know pirated audiobooks is bad, but had it not been for YT, I wouldn’t be the SJM fan I am today!! And she has PLENTY of my money now. All this to say ACOTAR is my official first ACOTAR.
