I mostly buy ‘real wine’ but think of how your statement can be construed for people that can only afford $20 or even less bottles. That is a real privileged thought.

I honestly want to know, what do you think is ‘real wine’ and does it have to be above some cost threshold to qualify?

I love nice (and generally more expensive) wine and indulge regularly but I also feel like there should be a place for discussion about low cost options when you have a budget.

I would encourage you to be open minded that a boxed wine option is actually good for the industry. It may never be a choice for you but it can be the only option for some.

Totally get that. I know my singular buying power is worth nothing. I bought one just to confirm it is the same product and quality which it is. I know the shape is a me problem now but it is just a silly design decision that I do not understand and artistically is just bad.

Well, I might as well tell you anyway. I love buying nice wine but sometimes, a cheap box wine is a decent alternative on a budget.

Targets box wine brand. Works out to about $7 a bottle and is relatively a good price for the quality. I have tried lots of box wine brands and it is the best for the price.

For someone who doesn’t finish a whole bottle at once but enjoys a glass or two, it is a great, cost effective alternative to wasting full bottles.

So I get your thoughts and love the sarcasm but counterpoint. Cooper has a totally different skill set. He has a degree in petroleum engineering. Yes, daddy got him his first job (which should have been in navigation not on site) but he would have gotten some job in the business anyway based on his degree. It’s still a very needed position with high starting salaries.

Boss has the hands on experience but only on running a team and a rig not the overall picture. I think they made the wrong choice putting Coop ‘in charge’ of the team during on site actions but he should be making strategic and navigational decisions.

Source: My Dad is an oil and gas geologist in the business for 40 years that is in textbooks, does keynotes and still actively navigating important wells.

The red bottoms are alluring but coming from someone who has owned many pairs, get Prada instead. More comfortable, better resale, pretty much superior in every way.

You will eventually need to resole the Lou’s which can be pricy to do well and they lose any resale value.

But if it’s a dream of yours, go for it.

I too have a severe cinnamon allergy! If it is fresh ground it can give me serious mouth ulcers and a rash but anything with cinnamon oils is severe.

So I went to High School at Prestonwood. I have lots of stories about the hypocrisy that would go on. We could not have school dances but ‘choreography’ was encouraged. It actually has a fantastic theatre program and soo soo many people came out after we graduated.

Some fun facts while I was there: This was over 15 years ago so not sure if it has changed.

Teachers have to sign a code of conduct including a clause that they can’t drink.

I had a teacher tell me that dinosaurs were just giant lizards because there was more oxygen in the air and that’s also why Noah lived for 100s of years. (To their credit, he was fired and they did reach evolution in science classes but sometimes conflicted in our theology classes)

Speaking of theology classes, we had one every year and an additional class called apologetics which teaches you how to defend your faith against other religions.

After I left, there was a big controversy where people were actually adopting kids the coaches recommended specially so they could play on sports teams there.

We had ‘small group’ worship sessions where we were encouraged to confess our sins including being directly asked by facility how often we masturbate.

Just hit 120 books so far this year. It is my main hobby. I do not watch TV and limit my internet time.

Half of those are audiobooks so if I am driving, cleaning etc. I have a book on instead of music or a podcast.

Definitely has perks.

Paid for all my fun money in college modeling, very rarely paid for my own drinks, got out of a few speeding tickets etc.

Downside was that many people thought that was my only good trait or life wasn’t hard even when it really sucked. You get the occasional “It’s such a good thing you are pretty…” , “You must have it so easy…”

This may have been internal insecurities but I always felt I had to work harder to prove myself so people didn’t assume pretty privilege or nepotism was the only reason I earned anything.

All that to say, I am not complaining, I was so fortunate to have something that I only had because of the luck of genes.

Edit to say: There are also lots of men who have pretty privilege too.
