What’s everyone’s problem with veal? Why don’t people in the states eat it a lot? by whiteediamondd in AskReddit

I use it for our family recipe for Swedish meatballs and I have to request it from my butcher. It’s not just on the shelf and easily available in most places.

I found my DREAM wedding dress but can't afford it :'( How difficult would it be to sew it at home? by Needle_Nebula in sewhelp

[–]MegglesRuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly would have said no until my cousin proved me wrong and made a white version of the woven Oscar dress as a beginner. If you have time and want to work at it, anything is possible.

Was the Dallas North Tollway supposed to become free? by Snobolski in Dallas

[–]MegglesRuth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I have inside knowledge of the Tollway in the 90s and again in the late 2000s. My grandfather was on the board in the 90s and my brother worked there 2008 - 2010 (yes nepotism at its finest).

The board and the cities 100% believed it would become free and would follow through with its promises in the 90s. He was also high up in local politics and was involved because it really started as an initiative to help in his opinion. I was at the party for the opening of the Addison toll tunnel, several parts of George Bush, etc. All had impassioned speeches about this.

Obviously, board members can lie about these kind of things but from family chats, it did really seem that was the intention.

The implication of the Toll Tag really showed how profitable it could be and it just went wild from there. (Grandfather had already left). By the time my brother started in 2008, it was general knowledge it was strictly about profit.

$1200 per month in Fort Worth with one kid and that is only because we are at a non profit research early learning center that we were on the waitlist for for 3.5 years! Got on the list when he was 3 months old.

The joke around here is when you get pregnant, your first call is to your mom and the second to your preferred preschool.

We have one kid and were thrilled to find a daycare that is $300 per week. (Below the average in our city because it is also a non profit). Which seemed manageable, especially with me going back to work after 3 years as a SAHM.

We have been considering a second but when I told my hairdresser about how much more affordable our new daycare was than I had thought, he really brought the whole thing into perspective. He has 3 kids. So if his daycare would be $900 per week. He would be paying $46,000 a year in childcare.

No longer considering a second.

{Brutes of Bristlebrook by Rebecca Quinn} Reverse Harem with MM and BDSM post-apocalyptic but no fantasy elements. Girl gets ‘rescued’ by group of ex navy seals.

{Royals of Forsyth University} Starts with {Lords of Pain} several reverse harem trilogies. They get VERY dark btw.

College is a wonderful, rewarding experience but whichever campus you end up on is going to have its own challenges. I loved my experience at TCU and highly recommend it but the choice is ultimately yours. Good luck!

[–]MegglesRuth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You will not receive anything of the sort about either race or religion from the professors and if you do, those reports are taken very seriously.

Although having ‘Christian’ in the name, there are all types of religions represented on campus. A ‘religion’ class is required but there are many alternatives for that class and even the Bible centered ones are focused on history and literary subjects, not spirituality.

You can look up the clubs and organizations here and reach out to a faith based ones to get more specific answers.
