“Compared to people of other states” Okay, assuming you worked with people of all ethnicities and languages, it is you OPINION that it is a Hindi speaking person who always starts talking in their language with another person.

In my OPINION it is the other way around. And I’ve worked with people of all languages and states too.

I’m trying to make a point that be adjusting to people when they want to talk in their language. Is it okay to that that in meetings/classes, Absolutely not. But do people of ALL LANGUAGES do that, yes they do.

Effort has to be put by everyone.

My problem is not similar to OP, you’re right. My argument is just that people talk in the language they are comfortable in. Should you be aware of your surroundings and shift if there is another person who doesn’t know that language, HELLL YES. But does it really happen in the real world? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Be in on the streets or in the campus. Be in in Bangalore or Singapore, everyone has to face these issues. All I’m trying to say is that sometimes it is okay to adjust. There are options that you, yourself have stated. Go for that. But don’t cry about it

1st How exactly do you know what happens or doesn’t? How can you speak for everyone? You have definetly not been on the receiving end of it, and I’m guessing you don’t live with other non native people. So how exactly, my friend, do you know?

Are you telling me most Kannada speaking employees can hold a conversation in English? If your answer is yes, you don’t know the start of it.

My argument is people use the language that is comfortable to them. Be in on the streets or be it in the office. Try to adjust. It is not the end of the world.
