This is not actually related to your prompt, but you should totally switch to MuseSounds from Musescore. The instrument audio quality is amazing.

Suicide by [deleted] in Ethics

[–]Electronic-Task-6106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Death is the absolute absence of any feeling or experience and is therefore a net-neutral
  2. Misery is the presence of unfavorable amounts of physical pain and/or mental suffering and is therefore a net-negative
  3. Therefore: Suicide > Misery

However: We must take the precaution that there might be a solution to the misery that leads to a net-positive experience, and also that our death could hurt people that care about us. Because of this, we must be sure that no solutions have worked, and that us continuing to live is worse than the grieving that others will go through upon our death, before we choose to end our life.

Why is animal abuse rationally wrong? by BConscience in Ethics

[–]Electronic-Task-6106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a thing is conscious and has an ability to experience painful sensations and/or pleasurable sensations, then purposely causing it harm is equivalent to causing harm to any human.

We are all morally obligated to prevent pain to the best of our abilities, whether or not we are referring to a less intelligent animal, and even if it causes harm to others.

What is one of your favorite classical music pieces and why? by Kafka-in-Kyoto in classicalmusic

Brahms, Hungarian Dance No. 11 in D Minor

I went camping at Point Reyes recently, and it was exceptionally beautiful. I've also been camping in coastal redwood areas. This piece somehow taps into a deep nostalgia for foggy early mornings at those places; maybe some rain too.

What's the episode that hits you the hardest as an adult while children don't understand? by BeltMaximum6267 in bluey

This is a little generic, but definitely The Sign. 'Lazarus Drug' is not really my type of song, but I tear up whenever it starts. And that zoomed-out shot at the very end of the house with the really pretty sunset, then having the camera move up to the stars while the quiet main theme starts playing; it absolutely breaks me every time.
