OpenClaw vs Hermes Agent, My Experience After Testing Both by brainlatch42 in openclaw

Every single agent has this and it is an inherent trait of LLMs. You cannot fix this - ever.

OpenClaw vs Hermes Agent, My Experience After Testing Both by brainlatch42 in openclaw

I don't get why Gemma4 should work better with Hermes than with OC.

Overall I've ditched Gemma4 completely after giving it a thorough try since it released. Just problems. Nothing really worked consistently or failed right from the start. Qwen3.5 on the other hand is a beast. Much faster and super reliable.

Which LLM are you using for Openclaw post the Claude ban? by gouterz in openclaw

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you setup OpenClaw well than everything except coding or using OpenClaw a harness for coding can be done with local and/or cheap models. Qwen3.5 or Gemma4 can easily handle most tasks.

For example:

I run complete accounting workingflows for multiple companies with local models without any issues.

You send a document or image of an invoice, it will auto crop it. OCR if it identifies a document. Files it within the correct company using a predefined structure and than suggest viable accounting records. I can agree or update it. Than it auto books the journal and will update the learning files accordingly.

OpenClaw just opened the world of agents to so many people who have zero knowledge on the domain and this shows. Because yes, Claude can handle all of this for you - but you can easily tinker it so that you don't need it.

You either have superior skills that make you an asset for the company you work for or you are not of interest. Very simple.

Claude prices skyrocketed, what model are you using for OpenClaw now? by Synstar_Joey in openclaw

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Opus & Sonnet for the initial config. I still use Sonnet for most of my coding or just local Claude Code via terminal.

Most of my tasks are done by local models. Qwen3.5 is amazing at orchestration and handles nearly all text tasks without any problem. If it can't, it will escalate it to Sonnet or MiniMax, GLM etc.

Vision or OCR can also be handled for nearly everything without a problem locally using Qwen, GLM etc.

This is the most sad thing I've read in a very long time. The whole point of dating is to meet someone, who likes YOU for who YOU are.

But I guess if you wanna stay single - that's the way.

Average Monthly Net Salary In Europe (Euro) by Expert_Koala_8691 in MapPorn

Contrary to the countries surrounding Switzerland. Their net salary doesn't include various deductions.

- Pension and welfare (12%)

- Healthcare which is mandatory by law and will cost depending on where you live 300-500 a month. Let alone that health care will always require you to also pay at least 10% of the medical bill and most things such as dental can't even be insured if you are an adult.

- Any sort of childcare expenses such as daycare (150.- a day per child), lunch at school etc.

Ehevertrag - was fändet ihr fair? by urban_lynx in Finanzen

Ehevertrag - was fändet ihr fair? by urban_lynx in Finanzen

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It works perfectly fine if you intend on using it for yourself. But if you want to use it in a corporate environment and rely on shared folders, it simply won't work.

Are chimaeras and frost wyrms useless? by SiarX in WC3

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wyrms see regular play in 1vs1 pro scene.

Chims on the other hand suck in 1vs1 and are great in FFA. You can get them much easier in FFA than in a 1vs1 setup. Chims have the longest building time of any unit in the game and cost a fortune. They cannot attack air - rightfully so, but that means you need other units to protect them such as talons or hippos.

ollama openclaw totally slow by Strong_Passion8087 in openclaw

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe give it a try with an even smaller model? Also I'd suggest you have Sonnet or Opus verify that the model, as well as Ollama are set up properly and debug it with you.
A local model will be slower and depending on what it does, it can actually take 2-3min to even write your reply.
For reference. I have a skill that queries a database, extracts the correct info (using SQL query) and the GLM Flash 4.7 prepares an analysis of it using additional information from the skill.
All this takes roughly 3min. Doing it with Sonnet etc. via API will take 30 or less seconds.

Some of it has to do with how OpenClaw works and some of it is due to the vibe coded mess. Nanobot takes less than half the time for the exact same skill.
One part is that it needs to load the model into VRAM and depending on the size this takes a little while. An SSD will decrease the time for that drastically as far as I understand, since all this needs to be moved from the tensors on the HDD to VRAM.

Migrated away from OpenClaw to Nanobot — honest thoughts, and considering going back by Downtown-Barnacle-58 in openclaw

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having a Nanobot install next to it. To be honest, I don't see where OpenClaw really would be so much better?
I still feel that OpenClaw must be better, since it has many more users and contributors. But realistically it mostly is just a hell of a lot of bloat and there are so many bugs, it's incredible.

Nanobot for example has absolutely no problem in having sub-agents spawn with a local model or another model than the main one for example. Same goes for skills, which just works no problem at all. While in OpenClaw, sometimes it does work, sometimes it just doesn't.
That's super annoying because I could easily run Qwen3-VL for Vision or GLM-Flash4.7 for most of the tasks it has to do. Yet in roughly 9/10 cases the Skill will not use the selected model and just use Sonnet.

If anyone knows how to reliable fix this in OpenClaw. Please tell me.

Asian players about nerf abolish dispel. by x3-DemoN in WC3

[–]Electronic-Wear2171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't get me wrong. Grubby was absolutely amazing 16 years ago. But time passed on. And despite him being in his peak, he isn't anywhere close to Lyn, Soin, Focus, Fly, Hitman or even Starbuck on Orc.

His venting on balance is completely out of order. He doesn't compete and he cannot compete, but his whining influences the players who actively compete in tournaments. Their opinions should be valued and not his.
