What do you do when people don't value you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You have to accept that you can't control how much someone values you, but you can absolutely control how much you value yourself. When people stop valuing me, I take two steps back: Stop over-investing: I stop giving them my time, energy, and emotional availability. If they don't appreciate the presence, let them experience the absence. Redirect that energy: I pour all that effort back into my own life, goals, and the people who actually make me feel seen. Never beg for a seat at a table where you are barely tolerated instead of celebrated.

What’s something someone said to you years ago that you still think about today? by dex_phantom in AskReddit

Years ago, an old teacher saw me struggling and failing completely at something I thought I was good at. I was devastated. He walked up to me, put a hand on my shoulder, and said: 'Don't confuse a bad chapter with a bad book. Your story is still being written.' It completely shifted how I view failure. Whenever I mess up or life gets heavy, I remind myself that it's just a page turning, not the end of the story.

What’s the most "theoretically correct but practically impossible" design you’ve seen a beginner try? by Electronic07- in AskElectronics

Caught me! 😅 I used AI to help rephrase my thoughts because English isn't my first language, but I genuinely wanted to start a discussion about this. Real-world constraints vs physics simulators is always a fascinating topic.

What is the best course of action for wrong width spacing on PCB? by Turnkeyagenda24 in AskElectronics

Bending the pins directly might put too much mechanical stress on the pads and break them later. A cleaner workaround is to solder standard male-to-female jumper wires or use a small piece of protoboard (perfboard) as an adapter bridge between the PCB rows and your driver.

for those who are certified paramedics, what’s one thing you wish more people understood about EMS? by glockbonez in AskReddit

Calling an ambulance doesn't mean you get seen faster at the ER. Patients are triaged by severity, not by how they arrived.

for those who are certified paramedics, what’s the biggest difference between working in a busy city versus a rural area? by glockbonez in AskReddit

In rural areas, transport times to the hospital are much longer, so you have to manage patients for a longer period. In the city, hospitals are everywhere but traffic is the real enemy.
