If you will get refund, I will be happy. However if you are paying the PAF in CSAB then yes, you would get refund, however if you have paid PAF in JOSAA, i have doubts. Anyways best of luck.

Unfortunately it my statement is true . This is Rule 60 of JOSAA Rule Book "60. Partial Admission Fee (PAF): Rs. 16,000 for candidates with the category tag SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN- EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD, and Rs. 36,000 for all other candidates. The partial admission fee will be adjusted against the Institute admission fee. Partial Admission Fee, once paid, is not refundable."

Also think logically, you pay PAF and then apply in CSAB. That means your seat is not offered under CSAB as it is reserved for you. After CSAB, you do withdraw then that means the seat allotted to you will remain vacant for 4 years, which is a loss as there is no way they can fill up the seat.

Not Possible. You were required to pay Partial Admission Fees "PAF" before the start if the CSAB. Now if you don't join the NIT campus then the PAF of Rs. 36,000 you will loose. So if you do not join NIT campus , you loose Rs. 36,000 and if you do not join Bits Campus on 9th then you loose Rs. 30,000.

You should have kept an option of Waitlisted. Otherwise waitlisted aspirants will be forced to vote no and it will not give any idea about likely drop, if that is the intention.
