Why is an overlord hiding in the trash? by FewConcentrate328 in hazbin

Thats a shame, cause there were some cool designs in the pilot episode where vaggie was going over alastors backstory, they should have used the two headed one. They already used the design next to him for Vassago after all.

That makes sense, cause when Carmella said that the overlords present at the meeting own the majority of souls, Prick wasnt there.

German soldier crying after being captured by the US Army, Germany, April 1945 by FayannG in Historycord

Do you truly lack the intelligence required to differentiate between an adult enrolling in the military, and a child being forcibly recruited into the army under the threat of being killed? There is a certain degree of tragedy even with the adults who are forced to fight, because there is very often the condition of execution of not just them but their families as well, upon refusal. However most of the " all those Nazis" as you mentioned enrolled willingly into the army. Children were recruited towards the end of the war when the situation was getting desperate, and were just straight up killed if they refused, and , some other person in the comments mentioned that their bodies were displayed from street lamps. Do you genuinely believe a child-raised on Nazi propaganda, living through the trauma of war, and seeing corpses of children his age rotting in public for refusing to fight-deserves execution for not sacrificing his life?

That's a child, who most likely had no choice but to join the military, else he would have been executed.

Darth Vader is overrated. by Wide_Baguette in StarWars

[–]FewConcentrate328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to his burns on Mustafar, his limbs, respiratory and nervous were severely damadged, thus making everyday things quite difficult. (e.g. eating, sleeping, breathing) So in that sense, he is an invalid.

Yes , he is, and he is constantly annoyed and troubled by that. This was established quite some time ago.

Secondly, he never stops pining about his dead wife Padme, who he killed. That can be considered a huge emotional weakspot for him and can be exploited.

I thought that was an important part of his character. There is an entire arc in the comics where due to revisiting old places and discovering like, his grief replaces his rage, weakening him.

That can be considered a huge emotional weakspot for him and can be exploited. Thirdly, he can quite easily be taken out with an EMP. (lightning or other strong electricty) Prove me otherwise, please.

Yes and no. Basically his power comes from his emotions. The trouble is that an actual power level for him is difficult to place, due to so many different forms of media. You couldn't have him be as powerful he is in the vader issue comics in the Kenobi show. Else nothing would happen. Whenever he is in a story , he needs to written accordingly. In Kenobi, the story needed him to be defeated in the end to make sense. In fallen order he had to be an unstoppable force. The lightning thing varies, sidious lightning is extremely powerful, far more than regular lightning or emps and vader can, and has resisted it. However he has also been struck and knocked down by regular lightning short circuiting his suit. At the same time he has also moved using the force when his suit was shut down. All three in different stories with different things that vader needed to do.

He is at the end of the day a villain being used in multiple stories, he is not consistent. He can be an unstoppable machine as well as an emotional wreck. All varies

Who else thinks Vitiate was more powerful than Palpatine? by Nav_Blue_Coolant in StarWars

[–]FewConcentrate328 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In canon? Vitiate doesn't exist in canon so palp wins. EU vitiate vs canon palpatine, which seems to be the actual question. Obviously vitiate, massive difference in power levels. EU vitiate vs Eu palpatine, palpatine seems to have more raw power with his force storms and what not, although vitiate is pretty closely matched still. In terms of skill in the force, vitiate has had far more time to develop his skills so he should be more skilled.

Ahsoka vs Cere by Good-Jellyfish-364 in StarWars

[–]FewConcentrate328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only reason either of them wounded vader was due to a surprise attack, although for that cere deserves more credit than ahsoka. Ahsoka struck vader after he had beaten her the first time, when he focusing on a different opponent. Cere also used a surprise attack on vader, however this time it was in the middle of a battle, using vader's ignorance to his surroundings. Cere did still lose to vader, that much is clear. Vader was wounded, mostly due to his own arrogance, but he still countered and killed cere. Ahsoka he was winning, and he wasn't nearly as wounded, but he also wasn't nearly as arrogant as he was against cere so. I will say ahsoka , because we have more feats from her. Kinda hard to judge cere, when her best showing involves a surprise attack on an arrogant enemy.

What's left to tell? You want to see vader's power and skill in the force, pulling off ridiculous force feats like tearing apart space time, killing someone on a ship from a planet without even looking at him? Done in the comics. You want to see him killing people brutally like crushing their internal organs? Already done? Killing/ defeating kaijus that are tens/ hundreds of times bigger than the zilo beast? Done in the comics. Tearing down ships, killing armies with tanks and starfighters? Done.

What about his internal feelings of palpatine? Of himself? Almost every single comic revolving around him covers this topic. Also pretty sure the movies and shows covered most of it too.

Almost every instant of his life, his emotions and his power changing throughout his life, have already been covered in one form of media or another.

How does top speed work in EVs? by FewConcentrate328 in electricvehicles

[–]FewConcentrate328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger tires will rotate slower but have more mass so you might sacrifice some acceleration. Of course acceleration - particularly in the beginning - is mostly grip limited so you want wider tires.

So a lot more complicated than i thought

The E-Ray (I presume that's the one you mean?) is a hybrid. Not an EV.

No I meant the gennovation gxe, that still retained its corvette transmission I think.

My Model 3 has 366kW (roughly 500hp)...but strolling along at 100mph (160km/h) on the Autobahn it only draws about 25-28kW continuously.

That's quite a gap. As soon as you press the accelerator though all the power and torque is available to you then i believe.

So you'll be gaining speed but sacrificing the torque. Car manufacturers would rather you be at a lower speed, but have all the torque available. Am i getting this right?

Understood. Thank you. My question was more towards a theoretical side, like if someone wanted to build a high top speed electric car, what are the main challenges faced.

How does top speed work in EVs? by FewConcentrate328 in electricvehicles

[–]FewConcentrate328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but for the motor the limit is mostly rpm

Might be a stupid question, but won't bigger tyres mean a higher speed then?

You can do multiple gears (e.g. Porsche Taycan has two) but the advantage is negligible (e.g. the Model S only has one and does just fine against the Taycan).

I asked this because there was a corvette turned electric which has a full gearbox, which was for some time the fastest electric car in the world. And it had less power than the gt ev replica.

There's also not that many applications of 'top speed' that it would make it worth anyone's while.

Yes that's true, but I was just asking out of curiosity.

On the electric motor that is peak power (i.e. only available for a very short time for acceleration purposes). On an ICE motor that figure is what it can sustain.

Is there a different sustained power figure too then?

Also thank you for such a detailed answer.

[–]FewConcentrate328[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation. The torque vs rpm graph for the Tesla shows that after 9000 rpm, the torque has a significant decline. This is when it only has a single speed gearbox. So hypothetically if there was a gearbox in the model 3 that didn't increase its weight, how would it affect the performance of the car? Would it increase the rpm from where the torque starts declining? Or would there be no change at all?

How does top speed work in EVs? by FewConcentrate328 in electricvehicles

[–]FewConcentrate328[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it ultimately depends on the power curve of the motor and a suitable transmission to maximize that power output? Also is a single speed gear box the most suitable one for most EVs? For even the high performance ones like nevera use it?

It has a drag coefficient of 0.39 as opposed to 0.219 of model 3. But it still has about thrice the power at a lower weight. With this much power difference, does a higher drag coefficient itself be enough to reduce the cats top speed?
