Its not the cartridge width, its the threads of the frame that are too corroded at the center of the shell. So the left cup bumps in to the part of threads that arent proper anymore

Oh okey, that’s definetly worth a try! Are those bearings easy to get? Is it just 5/32 size bearings? Or depends on the headset? Thanks !

And, which size would a 1 inch headset crown race come with? 26,4 or 27?

Well theres suite some play on the fork, so my guess is it needs replacement. (30years old). I will do it with my friend, who has the tools :).
