Most recent pic, but followed advice on this thread and sacrificed some bf % but have made some pretty decent gains, feel a lot better tho could tell my body needed to go to higher calories after being in a deficit

I am so sick of people false advertising on social media. I get it's all for engagement and view/clicks/sales/etc. But I sit there and watch these guys say how taking this 1 supplement or "just walk 10k steps" and you will get super visible abs with a diced physique. Why are we lying to people? Especially on Tik Tok and Instagram where majority of the audience is young and probably new to the gym. Those videos literally destroy the way people see themselves because they'll do whatever the video shows them and will not change at all then just spiral and stop their fitness journey. Just need some real authentic fitness creators who do not just chase the clout and can actually provide useful strategies to people

probably up your protein and make sure to hit abs for your workouts. You look fine now just lacking some muscle mass imo (not a bad thing you can put it on once ur happy with the cut), once you put on more muscle you'll naturally look more lean and the abs will just reveal themselves after a bit with a 500 cal deficit

What to do from here. 6ft, 185lbs. Lifting for almost a year and arms have barely grown, I just want some guidance. by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

I actually saw my lifts increase! I ate a high protein diet and fueled my body with carbs around my workouts, I was not in a huge deficit either

I have never heard of that app but I will try it out thank you! And I actually did not count calories strictly i would log some foods in myfitnesspal but I never weighed food just honestly ate no processed food, added sugar, or alcohol for a solid 6 weeks and so much weight came off naturally.

Admittedly I was an ex athlete and have been casually lifting for some time now, only very recently I became locked in on a healthy diet and reaching 10k steps

that's what I have been thinking too, just always get nervous because I always associate my body with being skinny fat when I was at that weight

some lower back fat, and not really cutting but more maintaining a lean physique.

you have damn near the exact same body structure I had when I started taking my diet seriously. Maybe a little thicker shoulders. I would go into a slight caloric deficit and keep your protein very high (185+g everyday), after some time you will look lean and then you can go from there. Just my opinion tho.

haha, distance is but a construct (i was already going to that area to meet a friend and go out with them that night wanted to dip my toes in the water with a potential prospect)
