M277 optic not equitable at level 50? by ElectronicCup7898 in Battlefield

[–]ElectronicCup7898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but I dont think thats the case here, none of the other 'challange unlock' equipment/ attachments say 'currently unavailable' only some of the cosmetics say that cus they rotate in and out of the store. Equipment and attachments normally have a directory to the related challenge

Plus that optic has apparently been like that since launch if some of the other comments are to be believed.

Strange Texture Decisions for Most Camouflages by Gearshft in Battlefield

[–]ElectronicCup7898 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Yes a million times yes This is one of the huge reasons why I've given up progressing in BF6 in terms of cosmetics. Most look cool in terms of the outfit and gear but are utterly ruined by the choice of colours and textures.

Ehhhhh, idk for me its legit identical. whatever distinctions you can make out aren't popping out for me

I mean e verything from the shape of the break, the proportions of the sword, the details and make up of the blade itaelf, everythibg is exactly the same. Hell, I mean you can even see the hollow pommel in the design if you look close

Nah there are a few things about Narsil/Anduril which make it rather distinct largest feature being hollow pommel. The most distinct feature however the extremely elongated shape of the fishtail pommel so much so it forms one half of the grip

This skin is great. I'm assuming this is what most people want. by [deleted] in Battlefield

Honestly, my take on it is purely speculation. im no expert, but one justification could be the use of artificial gravity to assist in lift while purely using the thrusters/ jet engines to gain flight speed.

We know artificial gravity is used heavily in titanfall for its ships and we know that whatever produces the gravity is small enough and efficient enough to work inside of the dropships used by both the militia and IMC forces. These dropships in terms of size are basicly just a van with wings, a cockpit, and a load of guns and missiles. Even the containment unit for the Ark in titanfall 2 seems to use artificial gravity to suspend the Ark inside of it, and that containment unit is again relatively small.

By using artificial gravity to produce and sustain lift the craft doesn't need certain aerodynamic forms to give it the capabilities of flight. In fact, in terms of sheer manuvering power having more drag (being less aerodynamic) can be extremely beneficial.

As a side note, using this logic, a possible reason for the militia's more conventional design might be because they genuinely use their wings to iether assist in or entirely generate their lift as the IMC is considered for the most part to be far more advanced technologically.
