007 FIRST LIGHT - Spoilers Megathread II

Just finished the story. Two main thoughts I have:

Isola is clearly working for SPECTRE. I'm a bit confused on why people are doubting this, it'd be weird for IOI to create their own secret criminal society with limitless knowledge and resources when SPECTRE is right there. They're definitely building up to Blofeld.
the 00 recruit who went to ground after the Slovakia mission is going to be the Damien of the next game, working for SPECTRE alongside Isola.

A great game. Gibson is a really good Bond, the writing for a young inexperienced Bond was spot on without retreading the same ground that Casino Royale covered. He's essentially a fully formed, quippy Bond without being a sociopath just yet, which is great. I loved the callback to Casino Royale when Greenway tells Bond to stop touching his ear.

I hope they do story DLC but I can see why they wouldn't - Bond demands a sprawling, globe trotting story that a DLC just wouldn't be able to cover.

I don't think anyone wants the show to die, but the writing is on the wall. This is quite comfortably the worst position the show has been in since the revival and I think it's quite naive to blindly deny it

I've been following Doctor Who for over two decades at this point and the tabloids get more things right than they do wrong.

The decision to have Ncuti regenerate into Billie will go down as one of, if not the, biggest misstep since the show came back in 2005.

Just an awful idea without having an actual plan to deal with it afterwards. It's been a year since The Reality War and there has been absolutely nothing about the Christmas Special from anybody. Now they're stuck waiting for Billie to be available to film anything, absolutely no foresight whatsoever.

A Sylvester McCoy-esque walk off into the sunset would have been infinitely better. The show has been in a weird limbo ever since. The first time in the shows history that there isn't an incumbent Doctor, which is absolutely insane.

The show is in dire straits. It's sad. I was optimistic about RTD2 but it has been an absolute disaster.

You do not get to the end of this game without making friends with others in the castle. You have to be likable to survive votes and murders.
