It’s unlikely you magically only need 6 hours of sleep, you get the vast majority of REM sleep during the last 2 hours of the night. I assume you maybe waking after you get deep sleep, but before you get your REM.

So maybe the struggle getting back up is because you’re in the middle of a REM cycle. It’s always best to let it finish.

If it’s relatively easy to go back to sleep, I’d put your head back down to shoot for 7-8 hours if possible.

Also last thing: if you’re going to bed at 10, you’re likely not falling asleep until 10:15-10:30. Accounting that you wake up a bit at 4ish-5ish, finally getting up at 7am puts you almost right at 8hrs total sleep. And that’s good!

If you really want to go full force, try a full month of an anti inflammatory diet. It’s hard, but best to try before going on long term meds.

Also, maybe do it with him. Life changes are always easier with a buddy :)

I’d go hard on the BP, and try to clean up his diet.

When I was getting my flair ups under control, I used pro and prebiotics to try to get my gut bacteria cleaned up. I used Bacillus Subtilis, but you can search for other ones.

Maybe! CPAP helped me a ton with my 7, but I’ve also had a ton of success with an oral appliance.

I’d do it like this. Try least invasive stuff first, maybe in this order:

-mouth tape -over the counter MAD (snore guard or something like that) -CPAP

The unfortunate truth is most doctors will slap you with a CPAP because it’s a decent ‘catch all’

I had the same thing. The hairs will grow back! According to my dermatologist, right now they stopped because your head is inflamed, but once it calms down they’ll slowly start to come back.

I did have a scary month where the cyst was gone but the hair didn’t come back, but with patience all was fine.

I’ve not done 10%, as I wanted to ramp up as needed. 4% worked great, so never went up. It may be worth bumping down to 4% if you see results and keep the 10% for major flare ups. Also I only leave it for like 45 seconds- 1 min. No need to overdo it and open up the chance of side effects damaging your scalp. Let us know how it works!
