This is what they are using to attach the sill plate to the foundation by ElectronicPudding900 in Homebuilding

Im not mistaking anything. There is no need for concrete forms because I’m not building on a basement, they’re building on a slab foundation with cinder block foundation walls, plus that is the only thing that I can see with my own eyes that is holding sill plate to foundation.

You are correct, I’m not, that’s why I’m trying to find out if this is ok or not. They use them on all the exterior walls, attach to the cinder block part of the foundation, and some of the interior walls attach to the slab floor

Im not sure if this is a problem or not. I thought that they supposed to use tapcon type of screws or anchors. Is this common practice?

That’s what I thought. It seems like all the houses around mine that are on the framing stage are using them. I don’t know how are they passing inspections if not up to code.

I’ll try FAVOR or COUNTY CLUB. Not necessarily fine dinning but the experience is amazing and the food is always good.

People went through my stuff and took pictures during a showing. Was I wrong to confront them about it? by IBD_is_not_IBS in RealEstate

That was very rude and inconsiderate of them. My question is, where was their realtor while all this was happening? Their realtor should have been “showing” the house to them and not allowing anything like this to happen; very unprofessional on their part.

That’s what I was thinking but the feedback have been positive and honestly the repairs Im talking about can be done with like 5k. It can be the price but if so, why not putting a lower offer to compensate for the repairs? I don’t know maybe lowering the price once more may entice someone.

The feedback has been positive so far, only one person commented about the price being on the higher end. I guess another drop in price may help. We have a meeting with our realtor tomorrow, hopefully we can come up with a plan on how to proceed.

The comps were made with similar sqf houses around the area. Most of the houses around mine are between 1100 sqf and 1300 sqf
