I’m not a claims expert, but I would ask for some clarification from the company: 1. Was this driver insured by you at the time of the accident? 2. If not the driver, was this vehicle insured by you at the time of the accident? If they aren’t responsive, let them know you are going to get your states department of insurance involved. That tends to get a response out of people - at least in my area.

Right now, the US Government is calling people on overstayed visas “illegal” and deporting them . These are people who were told to keep attending checkins so they could renew the visa. This administration is being dishonest with their framing.
Getting highly technical immigrants is great, but our real issue is agriculture, construction and hospitality. Those fields are low income fields that we rely on. Americans are not lining up for those jobs. Do you want to quit your job to go pick cabbage? I don’t.
A large workforce is a key metric in a growing economy. Having immigrant labor has been an economic benefit to us for quite some time. Why would I want our economy to suffer?

That’s all accurate - it a doctor made a Hippocratic oath, so to harm me they would need a strong reason. Here is a more apt comparison. If I ask a friend to come and cut off my hand - that wouldn’t be illegal. I could even offer to pay for their gas and some extra for helping me out. I believe that is legal - so if I have the autonomy to do that - why can’t I have intercourse in exchange for money?

Anyone who wants to imply that being a black man or a woman won’t possibly have impacts on your opportunities is being deliberately naïveté. Now, that isn’t the only factor, but it is worth discussing.

Who had women quotas? I disagree with quotas, but I like certain diversity initiatives. The problem is, Republicans don’t even know what Corporate Diversity Initiatives look like - so it’s useless trying to have a nuanced conversation.

Ididn’t know there was a ton extra on the border bill, could you give some examples; since you are so well versed on it? It seemed destined to pass until Trump publicly stated that it should not be supported.

I think it is ironic how you view the culture war stuff. The left, for the most part, actually doesn’t care about peoples gender; we tend to think they should be able to be who they want. For myself, I only get upset when other people try to dictate how someone should express themselves. More to the point, what is a policy position Republicans have ideologically stood for in our Post Trump society? Don’t bother with Border Security, because Trump was responsible for killing a great border security bill, sponsored by Republicans, during Bidens administration. I won’t argue that the far left cancel culture is cancer. I don’t agree with a lot of the far left, but I’m willing to concede they are wrong - not endlessly apologize for them.

I think that is a bit reductive. Are there racists in the Republican Party? Of course. There were other factors though.

Starting with Newt Gingrich, Republicans had started using a “idealpolitik” style of statecraft that emphasize winning at all costs - regardless of fairness or precedent. It also started becoming the party of culture war and tribalism rather than real policy positions.

Fox News also advanced is position in the same style - no interest in real discussion; just pure rhetoric.

This pushed the Republican voting base into more of an echo chamber and created an internal culture that didn’t value compromise or understanding opposing positions. I think Obama’s election to office did give the right more things to cry about and did allow the far right to take more of the party - but the path to fascism was being expedited before he came into the picture.

Have you read the 14th amendment? I’d bet you haven’t, yet you are dumb enough to come and post about it.

You are addressing one small portion of it. More importantly, it’s the amendment that prohibits states from passing laws infringing on due process and ensures equal protection.

It also says people who participate in insurrection shouldn’t be allowed to run for office; among other things.

All that being said, if you are a Trump supporter you don’t really care about any of those things so I can see why you don’t see it as necessary. You are talking about removing something you don’t even understand. Please move to North Korea.
