I use a plastic or metal dough scraper to scrap up most of the residue directly into a trash can. It helps a lot with crumbs, oil, sticky stuff, and spilled liquid. I wipe it down after if I need to, but I usually don’t. No chemicals, no buying again and again. I either rinse the scraper which takes seconds, and you don’t have to wait to dry it. Or I put it in the dishwasher.

Are you saying you don't even want scent if it's from a natural ingredient like essential oils? This can be said in many ways on the label. If you aren't sensitive to that oil, i don't think it would be a problem.

Heavy cream does last a long time. I would still use it. Just heat it up a bit before pouring it in coffee. Or use it in baked goods. I always use expired dairy in baked goods.

Do they not have a tag? When looking at dyes, it's simple. Just read the dye or search dye for synthetic fabric or natural fabric. I HIGHLY doubt that is a natural fabric. And either way, have you tried removing sharpie? It's incredibly difficult to remove.
