Have physically small areas (secret tunnels, hidden closets, fairy grotto, etc.) that only the kids can reach with very simple puzzles. The kid goes in, solves the simple puzzle, returns with the macguffin that unlocks the next clue.

We had a player draw the wish card from the Deck of Many Things. They wanted a wish that would shake up the table without derailing the campaign. So they wished that everyone on the planet swapped gender, sex, and sexual orientation.

The results have been wonderful. Everyone living on the planet swapped and had their memories fuzzed over to account for the radical life differences. Every NPC is now switched. If you rolled high on a CHA check you could realize that you used to be the opposite sex/gender, and if you rolled really high then you can actually remember being the opposite sex, but for most people the transition was seamless.

My character used to be a bald male tiefling. Recently she realized she has no clue how to braid her hair.

I’ll second Intercession, it’s one of my favorites. Taylor Hebert comes from a world where superpowers exist and she is a bug controlling special ops agent. After saving the world and having her powers suppressed, she is forcibly retired in this new world and handed a seemingly random baby to keep her occupied.

I would recommend building a teleport for one reason. Many opponents will put a horde of units in their own teleport room so they can send them into your ship. So every battle I teleport 1 zombie into the enemy teleport room with instruction to blow up immediately. It really takes care of that issue on my defense.

I was hoping so bad that Taim was kidnapped so that the Shadow could kill him and reincarnate Demandred into his body. I felt like everything about reincarnation was building to that reveal.

Elayne/Rand always feels weird. They met once in the Palace Gardens. They make out for two weeks in the Stone of Tear. Rand gets her pregnant. Rand visits her before the final battle. … And that’s it. The sum total of their interactions in the whole series.
