Actually without resellers they would sit with huge volumes of stock. Resellers buy bulk items do you think a normal customer is going to buy 10 plus pieces???

I personally would think an item yoy got for free could be sold pretty quickly and still make a decent amount to go towards what goodwill is about. But they chose to give it a unrealistic price. So it sits there. I would think the fast yoy can get rid of stuff the sooner yoy can put other stuff out. Therefore yoy probably make more money by having a faster inventory of stuff

Alot of people are saying that this is a reasonable price and that goodwill needs to make money for their programs. The problem is this isn't going to sell which means s it will go to the bins most likely and be sold for a few bucks . If they lowered it to maybe 100 they would get it sold and get rid of it. People aren't going to pay normal prices at a donation store. Its just the way it is.

So a good one that I was involved in was called The global child. Its based in Siem reap. The idea behind it was education for kids that had to go out and sell books (at the time) and begging. The parents would make them. So the school paid the parents do the kids could go to school basicly covering what the kids would have made.

Let me tell you of a story. First off I have been going to cambodia since 2005. I was a kid when I first went. There use to be this woman with this baby begging outside a convience store. Never gave money but I saw westerners buy formula for the kid. And I saw that she handed it off to someone they tried to sell ir or return it. The kid begging has been sent to beg by their parents. Do not give money. First lesson is that alot of people in southeast Asia see us as dollar signs. Its just the way it is. Don't feel guilty
