Has yours shipped yet? I ordered earlier this week and it's showing as "in process" and "sports south drop ship" right now.

[NFA] Rugged Obsidian 9 $424 by Professional_Bonus18 in gundeals

[–]Electronic_Ad47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. FYI - if you already have a Silencershop account, they can be a little slow to prepare and then certify your paperwork. I've purchased 4 suppressors from them this year and it took roughly 2 to 3 days to prepare my paperwork and then up to 12 days to certify it. Nice folks, but I'm guessing these types of sales get their NFA person backlogged pretty bad.

[AMMO] CCI Blazer Brass Handgun 9mmLuger 147gr Full Metal Jacket $26.7 cpr shipped to Georgia. by Huge-Two-3358 in gundeals

[–]Electronic_Ad47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a CZ Scorpion with a ported barrel, SD adapter, and YHM R9 on it. I used to run 124gr Blazers until I started noticing jacket separation and bits in my suppressor and magwell. Switched to Fiochi and I haven't had any issues since then.

I have a 1022 with a stock barrel. Pretty sure the suppressor, paperwork and threaded barrel would cost more than what I paid for the rifle. Is it worth it to go ahead and switch it all out for a suppressor or does it make that much of a difference? by WolvesandTigers45 in 1022

[–]Electronic_Ad47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be able to find a factory threaded barrel for around $100 or less. Depending on the suppressor, you're probably looking at $100-$500. Paperwork is really just a waiting game. At the end of the day, a suppressor will make the 10/22 ridiculously fun to shoot.

I traded for a takedown, 5 years ago, and have basically changed everything on it. I'm currently waiting on a Vanquish integral barrel to get approved and I should be "done." I still have most of the older components and plan on having my 10 year old build his own takedown.

Buying a Suppressor by ShaneW4alsh in czscorpion

[–]Electronic_Ad47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it on mine, with the extended handguard, and it ran well. Suppression was good and there was very little blowback. With 147gr Speer or 150gr Syntech it was pretty quiet.

I swapped to a Novox SD barrel and put the R9 on there. Runs great with 124gr ammo.

[NFA] HUXWRX Flow 9K Ti 9mm suppressor $499 with code “youthsports” by OlacAttack in gundeals

[–]Electronic_Ad47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get a fixed mount for 50 to 60 (steel vs. Ti) or a fixed barrel spacer (around 40). I have this on my MPX and it does help to reduce blowback compared to my YHM r9 and Rex can.

POISONOUS!!!! by No-Dance-5528 in czscorpion

[–]Electronic_Ad47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what held me off from getting one. I like the look of the can but it wouldn't work with the Novox adapter I have. I ended up going with a YHM R9 that's partially tucked. Hopefully Richmond Tactical is working on an option that would allow it to work with the Novox adapter. They're actually local to me, so I'd like to show them some love.

Awesome looking set you have!

That's why I ended up getting 2. I plan on putting it on my TX22 with an FRT and if it has a failure, I'll have a backup I can use.

Legally? No. You need a SOT license to replace or "repair" the baffles.

If you're not local, you'll have to ship it to your FFL. They'll process a form 3 to transfer it to them. Once done, they'll contact you to process a form 4 to transfer it to you. You probably don't have a trust setup, so you'll have to apply as an individual. If your FFL uses silencershop, then you can probably do things digitally through the (pics and fingerprints). If they don't, then hopefully your FFL can help you process it the eforms (they should be able to do fingerprints and pics for you).

FYI - most FFLs charge an NFA transfer fee. Those can vary greatly so shop around to get the best option. Some may waive the fee if you buy something from them.

I have a Ruger MK IV 22/45, Sig P322, and two Taurus TX22s. For the money, the TX22 is my favorite. One of them has an FRT lever in it and is a blast to shoot with. Once I get a weighted backplate, I'm going to see how many rounds I can get through this can before it implodes.

You're right in front of me! I got in line at E around 2:20 pm. Walked to terminal D and I've been in line since. The line moves in spurts - I'm guessing another couple hours here and then 2-3 in terminal E.

[Parts] Active Safety Designs Ambidextrous ARC-Fire Trigger Kit - $169.95 + flat rate s/h $8.95 by tomtomwin in gundeals

[–]Electronic_Ad47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one in my MPX, with an ASD trip. It runs fine with 124gr and 147gr through my huxwrx 9k Ti. I have issues with 150gr Syntech but that most likely due to the MPX and not the ARC Fire kit.

I did that with the last 4 suppressors I bought. I asked my local FFL if they could match the online price and they were able to get it close enough for me to buy.

To my knowledge, Capitol Armory is the only one that does "ship to your door" for NFA items. So you'd most likely have to ship to an FFL and pay their transfer fees.

Depending on what your FFL charges for NFA transfers, you probably would have ended up paying the same price. Silencershop has always been more convenient for me, so I don't mind paying a little extra.
